“Was a lovely place to stay, not too far from anything we wanted to do which was great. The host had kindly left milk, butter and eggs for us in the kitchen which we appreciated! The house was tidy and clean. My only comment would be that there were lots of cobwebs in the rooms but otherwise we had a lovely stay ”

“Unfortunately, our stay fell short of expectations. On arrival, around half of the cutlery and crockery was missing, and what was provided was dirty and still covered in food. There was also no washing-up liquid or sponge available until we specifically asked for it. The room itself was uncomfortably hot to the extent that we had to turn the heating off and keep the windows open, despite it being winter. The pillows were extremely thin, and even folding them offered little support. We also……

“The room was spacious, and provides was a complimentary breakfast and beverages to drink. The ensuite is a nice large size. Car parking can be a bit of a squeeze if there are guests with cars staying in all of the flats. There was good friendly communication with the owner most of the time. The WiFi was working, but for some reason not the smart TV. Maybe a previous guest messed it up. The house is on a good bus route, with a stop across the road and regular buses into Derby city……

“A mixed bag: positives: house was clean and the key lock and parking was convenient, and food and drink supplies very welcome. Negatives: our booking was changed fairly last minute from “the terrace” to a different house “the Mews” for unknown reasons. (So my review is not for this listing, but for “The Mews”.) Although the house was on the same estate and also had 3 double bedrooms, one of the bedrooms was pretty small, and the original property had the master bedroom on its own top floor ,……
