“Booked as we had an early flight from East Midlands airport. Owner met us soon after we arrived. Nice room, great comfy bed, very good shower. Advised there was a good restaurant just down the road (15 min walk) which we visited and had a very tasty meal. Left in the morning too early for breakfast, but not host’s fault. Very good nights sleep. Plenty of parking. Road to airport a bit narrow and windy, but we made it in plenty of time. Would recommend.”

“The staff were ok. The room was like going back in time.The furniture was discoloured and very dated. The bathroom was not great. Very disappointed with the breakfast. The photos show a nice continental breakfast but in reality you get some toast with jam or cereal with tea or coffee The rooms are not soundproof and we had some very loud ladies in the next room that decided to shout until 2am so no sleep for us All in all we would rate our experience a 2 out of 10 and that is being generous……
