We stayed here with my parents in their late 70's, my husband, two teenage boys and our cavoodle. The house had everything we needed to relax and enjoy ourselves. Most notable was the fantastic huge kitchen, large dining table, and outdoor dining table for meals, the full size billiard table, and very comfortable beds. What we also really loved was how beautifully styled the house is; gorgeous furniture and artworks as well as beautiful well placed lamps and lighting, not to mention the lush landscaped gardens. It was all a feast for the eyes, especially looking out on the garden and across the fields as the sun set. Unlike many holiday rentals, this house has be built/renovated with incredibly thoughtful design, quality and taste. We also loved how isolated the property feels, while still only being a short drive from Alexandra with it's cafes, Foodworks etc. Highly recommend Two Rivers Lodge to anyone who enjoys quality and comfort in a tranquil setting. A couple of steps up to each one and the property is steep for anyone with mobility challenges like me but for my level of needs I made it work. I’m not sure if the spa would have been accessible as I didn’t make it up that high but I suspect it had a few more steps which may not have been achievable for myself. But the let downs was the cleanliness. The spa was disgusting and had broken glass by the gate. Nearly every piece of cutlery, tray, plate and cup was dirty. No hand soap or dishwashing liquid. The first night no hot water. The fire pit is on a side of a hill- no chance for confit- and the house is 12 people- 3 double rooms 1 room with 4 bunks and a downstairs with 2 sofa beds. But no one can sleep downstairs as no curtains at all!For a property over 1k per night it was a little disappointing- but as mentioned the views were awesome!" Having the pontoon was a convenience for our short term fishing boat hire, which we thank you for, though the lake was only at 52% we still enjoyed the experience!"
