Excellent stay in an outstanding cottage

Amazing cottage in an ideal setting on the beach. Cottage was very clean and laid out well for stunning views over the Moray Firth. Lots of lovely little touches in cottage from beach towels to frisbees. Excellent host. Thanks Carmel for a great week 🤗

Ideal seaside house

We absolutely love to our week in Nairn. The house was much bigger than it seemed on the listing and the view out every window was beautiful. We walked on the beach every day no matter what the weather was. The location was perfect for walking to all of the shops. we are already planning our return. Melody & Jeff Canada

Tremendous views.

Amost perfect. Exceptionally clean. Great location. All the little extras were much appreciated from hand sanitiser to washing up liquid, herbs coffee tea, cooking oil and t roll to extra pillows and beach towels. Water was very hot. Would come again but bunk beds not really for adults. Overall almost perfect!

Refreshing break by the sea

So good to be so close to the beach, enjoying early morning and evening strolls as well as swimming in between. Well stocked cottage, great base for exploring other parts of the Highlands too.

Fantastic Short Break

The cottage was an ideal place to stay as practically on the beach. Everything was immaculate and floorcoverings, décor etc were new. Would recommend to anyone travelling with or without kids.

Perfection....

Excellent property and location. You will not be dissapointed with the views and the short walk to the shops. New Sainsburys a few minutes drive away. They are building a new McDonalds next to the sainsbury's.

Perfect base for a highland holiday

We received a warm friendly welcome and found the home to exceed our expectations. The beautiful views from every window add a lovely atmosphere to this well appointed and roomy house. After busy days exploring it was lovely to put our feet up in comfort, and we weren’t disappointed at the local restaurants if we didn’t feel like cooking. Our favourite way to start and end each day was with a lovely long walk on the beautiful beach and we’d certainly book to stay again next time we visit scotland

August at Atholl

We stayed for three weeks. Atholl Cottage was ideal for us and our friends. We really enjoyed the location and being able to walk to several very good restaurants and pubs. The owners were very flexible and able to take care of all our requests. Even though it is located a short distance from the High street, it was very quiet and peaceful in the evenings except during the week of the Highland games and even then everything stopped at 10 pm.

Scrupulously clean, convenient amenities, great decor. We loved our stay. It was everything we could ever hope for. The park and beach are great fun. The high street was a short walk away. It was hard to leave!

Excellent cottage by the sea

Beautiful, spacious, well-equipped cottage in the seaside town of Nairn. Very clean and comfortable, bright and modern. Lounge, kitchen and dining room on upper floor, lovely views to the sea and ever changing sky from the windows. There's also an outdoor patio off the dining room. All these areas are very well-equipped, a real home from home. Even an upstairs loo and wee cloakroom. On the ground floor are two lovely good-sized double bedrooms (one with dressing room and en-suite shower room), a small bunk-bedroom and a large bathroom. There were only two of us, so we had loads of space. Carmel welcomed us and showed us round and talked about some places of interest. Thanks for the whisky cake, that prompted us to visit the local bakers! We didn't manage to visit the Cheese Pantry in Ardersier, however we bought some of their cheeses at the Highland Deli in Nairn and they were delicious. We were often at the Bandstand Bar and Restaurant (Braeval Hotel) for drinks (they stock a LOT of malt whiskies and many Scottish gins - fabulous!) and evening meals, only a few minutes walk from the cottage and highly recommended. There are plenty of places to eat out or get a take-away from in Nairn. The beaches are amazing and go on forever. Just relaxing on the sands (with ice-cream) or walking along East Beach to Culbin Forest was very enjoyable. We visited Lossiemouth (more stunning beaches), Findhorn, Fort George and Cawdor Caslte and also spent a day in Inverness (took the train). If you like shopping, Brodies Country Fayre is only ten minutes drive away and a fortune could easily be spent on many interesting items, including food and drink. It also has a large café/restaurant. Nairn is part of a beautiful area, with many places to visit nearby or further afield, walking, cycling, driving or using the train and bus services. We would definitely be happy to return here, many thanks.

Great Place to Stay in Nairn

We were two couples from Canada visiting Nairn on a golf holiday. Atholl Cottage was ideal for us. The modern rooms, furnishings and amenities included everything we could ask for. The location was perfect with beautiful views of the water, and short walk to the beach and pubs. We would definitely choose to stay at the Atholl Cottage on our next visit to Nairn.

Fantastic cottage in a beautiful location

We recently had a truly wonderful stay in Nairn at this fantastic property, with breathtaking views of the beach and surrounding Highlands. The cottage sits close to several parks along the waterfront, as well as the charming Nairn Bandstand. There are several restaurants and cafes within close walking distance offering tasty meals including a variety of gluten free and vegetarian options. The spacious cottage was very clean and comfortable with modern amenities, appliances, and fully equipped kitchen with a dinning room for relaxing meals at home. The owners, Gordon and Carmel were very helpful and made the arrival and departure process very easy and pleasant. After a very relaxing and memorable stay, we look forward to returning to stay at the cottage again in the future.

The perfect seaside cottage in the heart of the Highlands

This is a wonderful place to stay. The cottage itself is superbly comfortable and well-appointed, with everything you need for a really relaxing break, and the owners are incredibly helpful. We would definitely come here again if we were holidaying in the area. The sea views from every room are stunning. Nairn itself is a friendly, pretty town with good places to eat and drink and excellent shops, and the surrounding area is full of places to go and things to see. There are so many National Trust for Scotland and Historic Scotland properties around that we were spoilt for choice.

Wonderful stay in this lovely cottage! Great location with fantastic sea views, clean & comfortable.

We had a great week in Nairn staying at Atholl Cottage. The house was very well equipped, comfortable and clean. Gordon and Carmel are great hosts, very friendly and helpful at all stages (and the whisky cake on arrival is delicious!!) The cottage is in a great location, right next to the beach, close to lovely park, playgrounds, cafes and all amenities of Nairn. We loved the sea views too! Thanks for a lovely, relaxing stay - we hope to come back soon.

Spent four nights here at the end of August and loved the property.

The house was very clean and the situation looking over the beach was perfect. We liked the fact that the public rooms were upstairs, all with a stunning view. Bedroom with the bunk beds made it pretty cramped for two adults, but we knew that when we booked, so not a complaint. Everything else, lounge, kitchen and dining room, were perfect for six adults. Would be perfect for two kids with mum and dad and grandparents, or even two couples rather than three. The kitchen was well stocked with crockery, cutlery and a few food items to get us started. We wouldn't hesitate to use it again. Thanks to host Gordon who met us when we arrived and showed us round.

comfortable and very well located

we spent 4 nights and days in this cottage, with a family of 6 persons. It is clear, very well equiped and the landlord very helpful. 3 real sleeping rooms and 2 living rooms allow to organize a good family life for vacation. The city of Nairn is cute, with pratical shops, nice beach and forest for birds watching,... just one advice: it would be useful to have more knives and forks, to allow to start the dishwasher when it's really full; this will be good for environment, energy consumption,... thanks a lot

Great property.

We had a lovely stay in Gordon and Carmel's cottage. It is furnished to a high standard and had everything we needed. There are maps and leaflets about the area. The views are spectacular from the windows and the beach and restaurants are very close by. It is also a very peaceful cottage. There are lots of places to go and great scenery on the way there and further north. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the cottage and Gordon and Carmel were very helpful.

Fantastic location and accommodation

The house is situated at the popular Nairn beach and a fantastic location for discovering the highlands. The house is really great and the owners made a massive effort to make us feel very welcome. This is the perfect holiday destination and accommodation and the kids loved it, too. Thank you! We hope to be back.
