The Hotel seemed nice upon arrival. Valet parking was available. Fast svc by staff who assisted when having issues trying to get back Into our room. It took almost an hour having to go from reception to the 3rd floor room about 6x. The front desk staff made several attempts to get us back in and offered to switch rooms but we had all our belongings still in the room. He had to make several calls and rescanned key card numerous times before having to retrieve the master key. The tub was clogged, Housekeeping kept knocking on the door from 7am till we checked out. There was no Do No Disturb sign to place on door. Hence We did not get to rest after an exhausting day. The front desk staff waived the parking fee for our troubles which was appreciated.

PROS - Great location, walkable to the French Quarter and Canal shops. Beautiful lobby. Extremely comfortable bed and pillows - better than a local 5 star hotel. Shower water pressure was excellent. Kerry at the front desk was extremely helpful and kind. CONS - One elevator was out of service and the one working elevator was having technical troubles. The hallway leading to the rooms had a strong odor, and our room had a strong old smoke odor. Our toilet was leaking so we left towels on the floor for the few days we were there and when we requested our room to be serviced and more towels, no one ever came. While the hotel was fine for our three night trip, we would not stay here again.

It was a great experience, we try to stay somewhere different whenever we visit New Orleans. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The hotel rooms in my opinion give a bedroom type vibe. It did not have a microwave or refrigerator but it was nice though. I would recommend staying for the experience. It is 8 minutes walk to Bourbon St.

Although the staff was nice and accommodating, the rooms felt more like a hostel than a hotel. I’m sure you could get away with filming an episode of ghost hunters.

The A/c went out. It was so hot I couldn’t breathe. However, the staff was lovely everyone there is amazing. They assisted immediately. Then when the air is finally fixed I’m awakened by lots of banging and noise all morning while I was quietly attempting to read a book. It didn’t stop for hours because they were fixing their broken elevator right outside my door. Overall lovely decor and staff, but the place needs work. It didn’t provide me with the nice quiet vaca with no worries I had been looking forward to.

The Magnolia is a lovely little hotel. Just a little off the main hustle of Canal St, but still close enough to be part of the action. Loved all of the dining, shopping and sight-seeing options around. I'm not sure if the hotel is undergoing some minor repairs, but there was only 1 working elevator, which was a bit run down and dirty. The room could have also done with a bit of an upgrade regarding aesthetics - better lighting, better positioning of outlets, larger bath towels, updates to the bathroom like new shower curtains and a slip resistant tub. The staff however was top tier! Everyone was really warm and friendly, and accommodated every request we had, which really helped to make our stay more comfortable. For the short stay it was overall a good experience, and if those tweaks are implemented to improve the quality of stay, this would definitely be a hotel that I would come back to.

The hotel was clean and the staff was excellent. I did not like the fact that there was no bar, vending machine, or ice machine. One nightstand to a room. The bath tub did not have any grab bars, being as deep as the tub was definitely a safety issue. Finally got a microwave and fridge the last night of my stay. The hotel was only blocks away from all the entertainment, which was good. Unfortunately I will have to say I will not be returning to the hotel due to a lot of the inconvenience listed. The staff was very friendly and always greeted us with a smile.
