“My friend and I had a lovely stay here last night. We arrived in the afternoon and were warmly welcomed by Karen. We were really well looked after by Karen and her team and nothing was too much trouble. Our twin room was lovely and the beds really comfortable with lovely touches in the bathroom in case we had forgotten anything. Our food in the restaurant was delicious … the best steak I have had in a while and my friend said her burger was amazing. A real gem of a place at Rutland and we will……

“Looking for a good place to stay for our annual meet up with friends, we needed somewhere which was halfway between our homes in Essex and Lancashire and we came across the Bull Inn. So glad that we did. Having read the lovely reviews left by others (note: please ignore the earlier negative ones as they should be attributed to a previous ownership) we had no hesitation in making our booking. “Lovely hotel in a beautiful town. Our room was £163 (members price ) and our room was tiny ! Low ceilings and I couldn’t stand up straight in the room. So small no wardrobe would fit in which is inconvenient as nowhere to hang clothes. In the bathroom you could not sit up in the bath because of the height and slope of the roofline. So think £163 very expensive. Nice coffee tea & cookies in the room and nice toiletries. Good breakfast and lovely friendly and helpful staff. Generally very nice……

“Property is in a small town so little bit limited for the restaurants options. Property has nice period features and good size executive rooms. Staff was very nice and breakfast lovely fresh. There is also lovely garden at the back of the property for an evening drink in the warmer weather. ”

“The owner has to do the school run but leave her number on the door so you don’t have to wait long. She is really professional, polite and welcoming. Room was comfy and quite with a fridge and microwave in room which is a bonus for longer stays. No parking but a car park is situated 2 mins away and £6.10 for 24hrs is a good rate. Also paid by phone so you don’t have to worry about tickets on dashboard. Excellent Chinese takeaway a few doors down very reasonably priced. Didn’t try the……
