“Highly recommended this property for those who want an experience different than the typical motel. At check in you are greeted by the owners, who do it all! Very friendly, welcoming and informative. Rooms are very simple, cabin like feel. Great access to the beach. And the best part of our stay was the nightly fire. Grear time just relaxing and chatting! Will definitely return on our next adventures to the UP!”

“Location is private, and its feels like you're a thousand miles from anywhere but town is 5 minutes away. Precut and organized fire wood made making a campfire a breeze. Hosts seemed to want to make sure you have everything you may need. Amazing place!”

“Our family really enjoyed our stay at the Francis House! The house housed 8 comfortably with plenty of interesting rooms for the kids (and adults) to explore, a great yard, and stocked firepit. The location couldn't have been better, minutes from downtown Ontonagon, right down the street from groceries/gas, and smack dab in the middle of all the hiking, beaches, and waterfalls you could ask for.”

“The property is very cute. Two bedrooms, two baths. Near Lake Superior. Because it was during the off season we had the whole beach to ourselves to let the dogs run and run. Our stay was too short. Would go back again.”

A few nights prior to our start beginning we texted the owner with a few questions abount amenities and supplies at the property, and we recieved a quick reply. The communication with the property owner from start to finish was the best we have had with any property owner on VRBO. We have used VRBO at least 2-3 times per year since 2021, and we have experienced many……

“It is a cute, clean house, close to where I was working. I have a problem with Evolve assessing an insurance damage fee as line-item cost on the bill. By the time I saw it, I had already submitted my request and would face a penalty for cancelling. I will not be using a VRBO with this company again.”

“We had a great time! The house was lovely! We’d have loved some more storage (there weren’t any hangers or shelves/dressers. We also would have loved a pantry space to put our food for the week. That said, we loved it so much we already booked for next year! The location and layout of the property and house were just too awesome! Can’t wait for next year!!”
