When planning that next epic vacation for your large family or group of friends, look no further than The Current in beautiful Pacific City! This lovingly updated, open-concept home on the beach has a stunning oceanfront location that can’t be beat. Enjoy modern farmhouse décor and panoramic views of the ocean, the beach, and Haystack Rock from wall-to-wall windows.

Inside you will enjoy a light and bright home with décor that has been procured to provide the perfect blend of comfort and style. There are three bedrooms on the main floor and two more on the top floor. Outside, you can soak in the private hot tub and relax in the sheltered courtyard after days spent exploring the countless beauties of the Oregon Coast.

This home enjoys an unbeatable Pacific City location, with the sandy beach right outside the back door. Take a scenic stroll along the shoreline to the famous Pelican Brewing half a mile north, and continue your post-lunch explorations among Cape Kiwanda's dunes, tidepools, hiking trails, and viewpoints. When you're not surfing or strolling, you can check out the renowned Three Capes Scenic Drive or head 22 miles south to shop in Lincoln City.

NOTE: *Please be aware that the refrigerator on the deck has been removed* *Please be aware that depending on the season, the tide can bring in excessive sand - this may hinder the ability to see the ocean view from the windows*

PET FRIENDLY: *There is a $100 pet fee per pet with a maximum of $300 (3 pets). Please be aware failure to adhere to the house rules as it pertains to pets may result in cancellation of the booking with no refund. *

This property includes a noise alert monitoring system in order to ensure that neighborhood noise levels are respected. Again, please realize we want every group to enjoy their time, laugh, have fun and make memories. These devices are only to ensure noise levels don't reach a threshold that bothers our neighbors. Also, please note there is no electronic video surveillance monitoring pools or spas, or on the interior of the house.

Beautiful View! Attention to Detail Matters.
Pros: Right on the beach! Amazing view! Nice open concept living area! Plenty of room! Exactly what you would expect from a beach house! Every kitchen item you would need! One of many houses available in this gated community, private! Beach fire allowed on the lower beach (at time of visit). Cons: House could use some love. Rebar sticking out of sand directly in front of deck HUGE HUGE safety issue!! Our 3 night stay needed more TP, major electrical issues in main bathroom, tub faucet on backwards C for hot and H for cold, no storage/shelving/luggage rack in bedrooms, master bed slanted, broken deck chairs, fan lights in kitchen flickered non stop when turned on, ZERO instructions for TV/electronics/garbage/recycling. WIFI barely worked, dirty toilet brushes/picnic table area kids toy tub full of garbage. Is this a picky review? maybe...but when you say you strive for a 5 star experience the details matter. There was a complimentary bottle of wine (nice touch - but someone had already tried to open it and the cork had a hole in it). Puzzles and games...but puzzles missing more than half the pieces. Attention to details do matter - but the location is so amazing a cardboard box would have been fine! If you are sensitive to wind this is not the place for you!

The property was amazing. The communication was super great and always quick. The home was perfect for a large family or a big group. There was 10 of us! You couldn’t ask for a better view of Chief Rock. So amazing! Lots of cookware and serve ware. Lots of towels and bathroom supplies. —- we had a blast. Thank you. The home was unique and cozy, perfect for us. The only thing I would add for future prospects to the home is accessibility… meaning, if you are older or may have a handicap, then accessing the rooms (upstairs) or the beach may be difficult. We had a young man who need a lot of help to navigate up the large sandy hills that immediately encircle the home. —- the beach is also only accessed by walking down large drop off points or very steep hills of sand. There isn’t a gradual decline or incline anywhere near the home. That being said, we also had lots of people in our group who were happy to climb the sandy slopes and get that leg workout in. I would 100% stay in this amazing beach house again. Truly a home that can make for a magical beach trip. Thank you so much!!

Don't book this property
My friends and I were really excited about staying here for a girl's getaway. Unfortunately, we were unable to attend because the wknd of our trip, Oregon was hit with a snow and ice storm. The roads from Portland to the coast were virtually impassable, some even closed due to sheets of ice on highways and downed trees, and ODOT discouraged any unnecessary travel. In addition, the Tillamook People's Utility District indicated that power was out in Pacific City. Needless to say, our safety was our number one concern. VRBO's website requires owners and renters to come to a solution in situations like this; however, multiple requests for a refund, credit, or any sort of compromise or consolation were denied. Each response was, in essence "you should've bought travel insurance." So now we're out $1700, which includes a cleaning fee (even though we never showed). I highly encourage any prospective renters to rethink booking properties operated by iTrips Northwest... or do so at your own risk.

Amazing location!!
Love the location, and the open kitchen/dining room/ living room was perfect for 11 adults and 4 children. Only 7 adults and 2 children stayed in the property, family members had a timeshare condo just a block away. The property was a little quirky, but fit our needs perfectly. Turned out to be the best possible party/dinner house we could have imagined. We will definitely be back!!

Thanksgiving at the Oregon coast
Great location and lots of beds. Very poor maintenance. Dishwasher is not fastened in place, tries to fall out onto the floor everytime you open it. Only half of the toaster works. Half of the stovetop burners don't work right. Icemaker doesn't work. Oven hood only works when the kitchen lights are on. East bathroom shower door doesn't latch, has to be held shut while showering. Master bath fan doesn't shut off. Outdoor patio lights are turned on in the master bedroom. Heater in the middle bathroom won't stay off. Entire house is heated by wall heaters, one heater for the entire common area (kitchen/dining room/living room) and it can't keep up when it's cold outside. Hot tub is a great place to watch the waves. Probably the worst maintained VRBO that I've ever rented. I would not rent this property again.

Beach getaway
For the most part, everything was good. The house has unusual electrical issues that need better explanation. Like the fan stays on in the bathroom unless you turn off the g f c I which is really weird. We lifted up the Mat in the living room. And it was covered with sand so we swept it before we started our stay. Some window coverings on the north side of the home would be helpful because everybody walks through that empty lot next to the house. There also was no laundry soap, so we went to purchase some so we could wash our clothing. The hot tub was great the view was great local occasion great.

Beautiful location, charming home!
Loved this location!!!!! Home is a bit quirky – but would totally stay here again. It was just our family of parents and three kids – 11-16. Would be perfect for several families of this age. The stairs are REALLY steep. Wouldn’t let a grandma or a very small kid sleep upstairs for fear they would fall. The electricity and light switches are confusing and took some time to figure out. But can’t beat this location. We’ve stayed at a lot of rental properties, and were throw a bit by the lack of things to do for checkout… normally there are a lot things to do. Great space, comfy sleeping, and amazing location. We would come back in a heartbeat!
