“This is a guest house beside the owner's place. The room was clean and spacious and the weather at the end of March was so comfortable that we didn't have to switch on the AC at night. However, it did get very hot in the day so we opened the windows to let the hot air out. Also, a few very cute and friendly cats also live on the property. Loved the place!”

“This is a wonderful place to stay in Puna. It is in the heart of the area and they regularly host events, which can be fun to attend. They have a cafe at the reception area with some healthy food options, mostly pre-made.”

“The Purple Passion Cottage was fabulous, cozy, comfortable, charmingly furnished and had everything my family of 3 needed. “We were very comfortable in this lovely, quiet home. Everything we needed was supplied. The bed was comfy and there was a well-equipped workout room. The location was about a 45 min. drive to Hilo, given the Merrie Monarch festival traffic. There were many things we wanted to do from the Pahoa location but we were there during a period of very heavy rains so instead we had indoor Hilo fun. Kilauea erupted when we were there but the highway was closed and we were unable to catch this……
