“We loved the Paradis Peak villa! Steve and Nancy were wonderful hosts and gave several suggestions on activities available in their area. Loved our visits with the Rottie girls as well, they were a real treat. I would recommend contacting host for better directions than google maps. Roads can be a bit challenging. And did i mention the bird watching! Awesome!!!”

“We are very private people, and hate it when we rent a cabin and have any other houses within sight, to say nothing of those rentals with next door neighbors right on top of you. This gorgeous little cabin is tucked in the middle of the CR rain forest. No neighbors at all. Just hummingbirds, gorgeous butterflies and lots of other wildlife. The cabin was simple, but tidy, and provided everything we needed. Bill and Rosalee are extremely gracious hosts, and made the check-in/out process as easy as……

“It's a nice house about halfway up one of the mountain roads, but contrary to what you might expect, it isn't really secluded. There are plenty of neighbors and their dogs all around. Overall, it's a fantastic house for the price, and can hold 5-6 people comfortably. The view is fantastic! However, just be aware you absolutely need a 4wd car to get up the disintegrated half pavement half dirt road. While this is a good house, and lots of space for the price, there are some ways where the house……

“We loved this property and I only wish we had more time. The host and the caretaker were responsive. Excellent bird watching in the mornings. Fresh guava to eat off the trees. We had two dinners at the farm next store and they were delicious! A lovely stay and my only wish is we had more time. Ricardo was super friendly and very helpful. A bit tricky to find but excellent directions. I hope to go back some day.”

“Beautiful location with very friendly staff. There are several hummingbird feeders on site and the owner is very knowledgeable about birds. Even if you don’t like birds, it is an enjoyable stay. Would return. ”

“Wow, what an incredible slice of heaven. Feels like you’re a million miles away from civilization. Waking up to the sounds of the birds in the morning, dinner with Gregory (host) and sitting on the porch in the evening were highlights of the stay. It’s a commitment to get up and down the road and 4wd is essential. As such I’d recommend staying at least 2 nights w/o going down. Hosts offers horseback rides and guided hikes around the property. Might be worth checking out. Sure, the accommodations……

“Came to Turrialba for the Canyons- but fell in love with this place. The deck was incredible, great place for mornings- watching the Tucan, watching the clouds roll by all from a comfy chair. The hot tub was a rare novelty. I spent time in other cities in CR, but this place is incredible. Absolutely will be back!”
