The food was fine, but several items on the buffet ran out, and dessert was served with plastic wrap draped over it. It did not feel like a luxury meal. The dining experience overall was lackluster. The room was also adequate, but had several broken elements, the Wifi kept going in and out, Netflix didn't work, and the staff was unwilling/unable to help with any of it. Also, they didn't have chairs down at the beach, and we had to figure out how to get chairs to relax. I feel like you can't please everyone all the time. However, I had to make an exception for this one. We booked this trip to celebrate my husband's birthday. It started out great the property is located right on a beautiful beach. The hotel room "appeared" to be perfect. First came the issue with our dinner reservations for my husband's birthday. The person that booked the dinner reservations made a mistake and didn't enter it into their system. Mistakes happen. No worries. When we showed up at the restaurant the two hostesses were so unprofessional about it. Basically, telling us that we had to find somewhere else to eat since we were not booked for that night. Thankfully, I had the list of restaurants on a piece of paper from the woman that originally booked us and retrieved it from my room which still did not rectify the situation immediately or give us an apology for the way they initially acted. Eventually we were seated but at that point we felt very unwelcomed. In addition, 2 days in we noticed that my son had bites on him but not realizing what it was we brushed it off. By the end of our 5-day trip, my son had multiple bites all over his body. When we realized this was an issue we went to guest services in the lobby. There were 3 people that saw the bites and brushed us off. I took several pictures and consulted with our doctor today and he indeed confirmed that he was bitten by bed bugs.
