Room wasn’t cleaned one day out of four. There was a problem with the parking discount offered by the hotel at a parking facility across the street that was not resolved. Hotel was under staffed for the number of guests staying there.

My teen daughter and I stayed here for one night while traveling around PA, NJ and NY. This place is so cute. When we first got here we were greeted and given a quick tour including some history about the house and how it came to be a hotel. The room was very well appointed with a full, updated bathroom. A “continental breakfast” was included which consisted of coffee, juice and fresh fruit, cereal, homemade muffins and coffee cake. The hotel is with 5 minutes walking distance to Independence Hall, and a 20 minute walk to Reading Terminal. Lots of great places to eat around within walking distance. While the hotel offered a discount for overnight parking at a garage across the street, it was still over $32 for one night. All in all I would highly recommend this cute little place as an alternative to the larger (and more expensive) hotels.

Property is a historic building that is in the center of the city making access to sightseeing locations, public transportation and food very easy. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was very large and clean, bed was comfortable. Breakfast was nice bonus.

The Morris House Hotel is a gem in Philadelphia. It's rich with history, and you will feel like you stepped into the late 1700s when you are here, but with the amenities of the 21st century. Jerry and Alejandro made us feel at home. Their continental breakfast is sufficient to fuel for the day, complete with coffee, tea, milk, juice, yogurt, muffins, oatmeal, and boiled eggs. Perhaps one of the greatest benefits is that it's walking distance from the Independence Historic Park area, which was the main reason for our visit to Philly. The rooms are large with ample space. I called ahead to request a welcome gift for my husband for his birthday, and Jerry exceeded my expectations with a beautiful cheese tray. We are very happy and hope to return soon.

The hotel was beautiful. The location was perfect. The breakfast was yummy, and the staff was excellent. I highly recommend this hotel. It is a much better experience than staying in a giant downtown high-rise hotel.

Good location. Breakfast buffet is OK, but skimpy. Room lacked a closet. Can't control room temperature; it's controlled by the hotel and was too cold.

Historical home was interesting. However, it is not the most comfortable hotel with winding and creaky stairs. But considering it was build in the 1700s it was not bad.
