“We were looking for an “off-tourist” spot since we flew in from nyc and were driving up to La fortuna. This was an absolute gem. Plenty space for kids to run/play, hot springs, gorgeous river stream. We only had one morning, but would’ve easily stayed for a couple nights if we didn’t have our next stop scheduled! Totally recommend this place - be prepared as this is more like a high-end “glamping”. Plenty beds and sleeping accommodations. Very respectful and accommodating staff. ”

“This was my third trip to Costa Rica, and because I had such great experiences the first two times I wondered if this one was going to live up to the fantasy I have created in my mind. “This is a magical stay and we can’t say enough about how much we loved being at the Monkey Tree house. We walked down to the river and went for a swim, saw howler monkeys, strawberry poison dart frogs, and had a relaxing afternoon. Alondra and the team served us amazing breakfasts in the morning and took time to chat. Rae gave us good advice on what to do with one of our kids being sick. We took her advice and got some medicine from the pharmacy. We had a pizza delivery right to our treehouse.……

“This is a charming resort. Please don’t expect five star luxury but the facilities are very nice and the team extremely friendly. They cater for larger groups but that was not a problem. The area has some wonderful walks and wildlife - although unfortunately we did not see any sloths. ”

“My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed La Finca Azul, and especially the family whose vision it is -- including Nacho, Oli, and Cece, the three dogs. I've stayed in agroturismos in Italy, and this was a very similar experience, complete with the fabulous food. I'm pretty sure Italy doesn't offer swimming by yourself in a mountain stream surrounded by the echoes of howler monkeys. ”
