Pottenstein also features a charming landscape with many hiking and cycling trails, such as the Püttlachtal, Klumpertal, and the Pottensteiner Höhenweg with the Himmelsleiter observation tower. The town and its surroundings are known for culinary specialties and vibrant traditions. A highlight is the annual event on the evening of January 6th, when countless mountain fires light up the hills around Pottenstein to mark the end of the Eternal Adoration.
