Welcome to the River House! Stay in our newly renovated salt-box style home on the Choptank River of Maryland's Eastern Shore, with your own low-tide beach and magnificent sunsets over the water. Thoughtful detail is present throughout, creating a memorable getaway, whether for a relaxing weekend or a remote work location. Enjoy a day on the river with our paddle board or kayak. Take a day trip to visit the wonderful towns of St. Michaels, Easton, Oxford and Chestertown, all offering beautiful scenery, unique shopping and great food (especially blue crabs!).

Gorgeous property right on the water!
The home is clean, comfortable, and has a gorgeous outdoor living space right on the water. We even had my son's wedding day party prep photos taken here. We would definitely stay here again.

The stay here was just how I envisioned. The home was beautiful, clean and peaceful. It was a little chilly during the stay so we couldn’t experience any water activities but that didn’t stop the fun by a long shot. My husband was able to fish as much as he wanted with no interruptions and he caught a nice amount of fish also. 10/10 definitely recommend this home for a nice relaxing weekend. And the host was super helpful and super nice.

I felt so relaxed here. This place is a birder's paradise. Every morning i would wake up to an Osprey in a tree in the backyard. It is a very quiet area. I would definitely come back.

Another great stay at the River House
This was our second stay at the River House and it was great. Everything was as listed and expected. We took day trips to Assateague Island, Annapolis and St. Michaels. Our boys loved being able to fish in the backyard as well as at the wharf one house over. It is a very peaceful and quiet neighborhood with beautiful views. The owner is very responsive and everything from check-in to check-out went smoothly.

Amazing Christmas vacation
This property is exactly the same as the photos and it is in a beautiful, quiet location. Each morning you wake up to the view of the Choptank River and various birds. The house has a large yard as well as a small tidal beach, which our grandson loved, even in winter. Communication with the owner was prompt and the self-entry makes it very convenient. The house was extremely clean and well stocked. Every detail has been thought through as well as lovely decorations. The house is spacious and the internet works well. Everything you would need can be found in the town of Easton and St Michaels is a charming historical town. We visited Blackwater Reserve as well as Annapolis. Our Christmas vacation was a great balance between exploring the area and relaxation. Thank you Steven for opening up this wonderful home for others to enjoy.

River Getaway near Family
We selected this home to stay near family in Easton and have more space. The house was even nicer in person! The kids loved running around the yard and using the kayak. The owners thought of so many details for their guests! They also responded to my messages within minutes. We found the kitchen very well stocked with cookware which we enjoyed to cook family meals. The sunsets on the river were beautiful! We enjoyed walks in the morning through the neighborhood and found the neighbors very friendly! We definitely are considering booking again in the future! We highly recommend this property!

Biking holiday
We chose this location for our by annual biking holiday. The roads of the Eastern shore of Maryland are quite conducive to this activity. The house was clean and nicely situated to both Cambridge and Easton. An extra bonus was its location right on the Choptank River which allowed us to go kayaking every afternon. We, really, enjoyed our stay and if spending time on the Eastern shore again in the future we will surely come back.

The property was nice and clean. The host was very good with communication.. Would definitely recommend! The only very small problem was that towels were provided but no washcloths. On the listing it says towels are provided and I assumed that meant both. I guess that was my bad but I never heard of anything like that before.

Beautiful place on the water
We were pleasantly surprised when we walked in the house and saw the beautiful water view. The house was immaculate, very nicely decorated and comfortable. The host was very responsive with us regarding any questions we had. Short drive into the town of Easton but worth the drive. Would stay there again.
