It is not really in walking distance to UVA, but it does have a nice trail system just behind the property. It's a good 45 minute drive to Shenandoah. "I selected the Extended Stay America Premier Suites in Charlottesville, Virginia after reading the high rated reviews. And it did not disappoint. The room and hotel were extremely clean, the staff very friendly and caring. This was a last-minute trip, and I requested the highest floor away from the elevators the same day I made the reservations and got exactly what I requested. The hotel is close to many restaurants, drug stores, Walmart, Sam's Club, Costco, etc. The room, a studio queen, was VERY comfortable and exceeded my expectations. The room had a full-size refrigerator and microwave, a two-burner cooktop and plenty of cabinet/storage space. The front desk will help you customize your kitchen needs by providing toaster, utensils, etc. Hotel is pet-friendly and has a large laundry room. The hotel is in a quite area approximately a 1/2 mile from US 29\. I will definitely stay again. I highly recommend this hotel. "

"First, I was given a room that was already occupied. No phone in the room to ask questions of the desk, no person on the desk! I was hoping to watch the final of the World Baseball Classic(on Fox) but TV not working or only available as a monitor for streaming (using my own subscriptions!) Coffee maker good, but flavored creamer(?) Room was clean and comfortable, but totally DIY (no instructions about how to lower the shades, for example).It is close to my daughter's house, which is why I booked it."
