This place seemed to not have staff, really. They were hard to find, and also seemed to think that we owed them money, which we did not. When I tried to "check out"in the morning and resolve the issue, the office was locked and no one was around.
It's kind of only place to stay in those parts. Very convenient but the only wifi is in reception and lobby not in pvt houses.

Not so special
Booked for three, only beds for two, had to get an extra mattress ourselves. Breakfast was only bread and eggs, very little assortment. The cottage was not pre heated, ice cold on arrival.

Disliked: Staff & service
Didn't get a chance to stay here because they closed early and instead of cancelling the reservation for me, just sent a message asking me to cancel via hotels.com and then failed to inform hotels.com so it resulted in me having to frantically call hotels.com to try to get a refund while on my way to the airport to fly to iceland.
The hotel is clean and has a dining room. I did not eat there because I was trying to save money so I cannot comment on the food. Staff was friendly and helpful. It is in the middle of nowhere in the West fjords so if you want to try to glimpse the northern lights it is a good spot. It is also a good spot as a base camp. It makes a long day if you drive to Isafjordur and back but if you don't want to be in town it's a good spot. It also has gas pumps so you don't have to worry about running out of gas. Its about a half hour from Holmavik where there is a small grocery store. I would stay again.
