“Very nice location, beautiful property. However, we were charged a 50 euro cleaning fee for a regular room!! It was never mentioned anywhere. That is not acceptable for a one night stay in a hotel room”

This place used to be called Habsburger Hof and who knows, maybe Empress Elisabeth, Sissi, stayed here when she arrived by imperial train and made Meran popular with high society? Naturally, this hotel too would have had its own restaurant back in the day but now catering is reduced to a bar with some nice wines and coffee. Room spacious, bed good, shower OK, staff punctilious. Very convenient for people like us who arrive by train.”

Die Einrichtung ist recht neuwertig, die Küche komplett ausgestattet und vom möblierten Balkon hat man einen tollen Blick ins Tal und auf die Berge. Die Betten könnten bequemer sein, zudem gab es nur ein Kissen pro Bett. Positiv: Das Appartement wurde entgegen den Informationen automatisch und kostenlos jeden 2. Tag gereinigt. Dank Außenrollos und hochwertiger Fenster war es sehr ruhig. Auch unsere Hündin hat sich wohlgefühlt. Der……

“Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, das Personal sehr nett und immer hilfsbereit, das Frühstück umfangreich und lecker.”

“Das Hotel ist direkt an einer vielbefahrenen Hauptstrasse gelegen. Noch dazu handelt es sich dabei um eine Senkenkurve, was bedeutet, dass LKWs, Busse und andere Fahrzeuge dabei bergab (laut)stark abbremsen und anschließend nach der Kurve wieder (ebenso lautstark) beschleunigen müssen. Entsprechend hoch ist die Lärmbelastung, und das leider auch nachts. Geöffnete Fenster sind daher aufgrund der zehn Meter Luftlinie bis zum Straßenverkehr keine wirkliche Option. Selbst bei geschlossenen Fenstern……

“This is an exceptionally well run hotel! The staff was very accommodating and helpful in recommending places to visit, providing directions and providing early morning breakfasts for an early departure. Hotel had a beautiful infinity pool and hot tub and was still open in October for guests. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Location was close to the old city as well as the train station.”

“Ein superschönes Stadthotel an perfekter zentraler Lage. Freundlicher Empfang an der Rezeption. Wir haben Halbpension gebucht. Das reichaltige sehr gute Frühstücksbuffet lässt keine Wünsche offen. Auch die 5- Gang Menüs am Abend waren sehr schön angerichtet und abwechslungsreich. Hervorragendes und sehr freundliches Servierpersonal. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber. Den Balkon konnten wir anlässlich des Traubenfestes hervorragend wie ein VIP-Platz nutzen um die verschiedenen Aktivitäten vor dem Hotel……

“Colazione ricca e abbondante che incontra i gusti di tutti. Dalla frutta fresca (diversi tipi) al pane, torte e dolci fino ad arrivare ad una vasta scelta di salato oltre a quello che è possibile richiedere sul momento (omelette, uova al tegamino, ecc.). Le camere sono belle e di design molto gradevole. Poi ci sono due piscine di cui una a sfioro sulla terrazza e una bella spa.”

Ho soggiornato assieme al mio cane ed anche lui è stato benissimo un posto ideale per passare qualche giorno assieme ai nostri amici a quattro zampe. Il personale è davvero squisito e gentilissimo forse però non con una grande esperienza. Il ristorante elabora piatti da fine-dining, porzioni piccolissime ma non è affatto un esperienza di gusto.
