"The staff were very welcoming, friendly and accommodating. Our stay included a complimentary breakfast and even though we had to leave earlier than when breakfast was being served, they ensured we had breakfast bags to go. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Very happy with this experiences. Extremely close to hotel, and 24/7 shuttle service was such a helpful service."

"Overall, our stay at Barceló San José was okay. The hotel, rooms, and lobby were clean, and the staff was nice. However, the pool area could use better maintenance since there were a lot of leaves and debris, especially in the kiddie pool. The hotel also feels a bit outdated. Breakfast was just okay — it would be nice to have more variety and international food options for guests from different countries."
