“This guesthouse was not what we expected upon arrival. Barely any amenities provided. There is a charge for towel service daily, if not paid, it will be every 3rd day. This is very minimal considering how hot and humid the area is, and that many people come wanting to swim, therefore the need for more towels. Adding on, there was no mention in the listing that this was for a fee, as it stated this was by request. Although this is not part of the hotel stay itself, prepare to have a long journey……

“You need to contact hotel through WhatsApp for check in Or there is no response. The key for the room is in lockbox at top of the stairs. Once inside, the view is amazing. Worth every penny and all the stairs. There are no beach towels or bag. Everything is an additional charge- drip coffee, water. Expresso costs the same downstairs in town. For those with bad knees or have trouble with stairs, do not recommend. There are about 70 stairs. Overall, it was very pleasant and air conditioned.”

“Our apartment was very comfortable, clean, and had a great shower in the bathroom - the best shower we had anywhere in Tuscany. Our host, David, was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. “The best location, right in the lower area of Riomaggiore so it’s very easy to access and get around with minimal stairs. Cutest little apartment with everything you would need to cook. There is a bit of a damp smell but only takes 5-10 minutes with the window open to air it out. This location is unbeatable and Riomaggiore is definitely the best town to stay in. Will 100% stay here again in the future! ”
