“The reason for the terrible rating is - No meal at the Hotel so I ask the reception where I could eat, they pointed me in the direction of a local bar. Had something to eat there at 21:00hrs and by 23:00hrs I was having terrible stomach pains. (before eating at this bar I had had a continental breakfast before leaving the ship at Bilbao) By 02:00hrs diahorrea makes an appearance. There was no staff at the Hotel that I could call and I was too worried about leaving my room. So no help during the……

“No proper parking and no luggage assistance — we had to carry heavy bags up about 15 steps. It felt more like an Airbnb than a hotel, with only one staff member at check-in. The room on the left has a nice view and is clean, but the strong artificial fragrance made it hard to sleep. No breakfast service, and it’s difficult to find a proper morning meal nearby. Not suitable for elderly guests or anyone who has difficulty with stairs or heavy luggage.”

“Feels great from check in service. They gave a us a room that can see the old town. Quick access to the old town from behind the hotel. Parking is free and within hotel secure premises.”

“Wonderful location, perfectly equipped. Only problem was check in and having to deal with the police and threat of a ticket while we were unloading our car. All could have been avoided if hotel would have asked and recorded our plate number in advance. Dealing with that for a half hour caused us to miss a proper reunion with our daughter; a student in Salamanca.”
