Mackey Landing is a beautiful self contained 750 square foot suite. It is ideally situated for a quiet get away. It accommodates from one to four guests, children are welcome but please no pets. This suite has its own parking for one vehicle and a private entrance. There is additional parking available at the top of the driveway. There is a king size bed upstairs and a pull out queen sized sofa bed in the living area downstairs. It has a private bathroom with a shower and claw foot tub. A far infrared sauna is available for your private use. The kitchen has a fridge, microwave, large toaster oven and induction hot plate. At Mackey Landing we provide all the essentials for a delicious self catered breakfast. A wood stove adds to the basic electric heat and a wonderful window seat adds to your comfort and reading pleasure. Enjoy our large book and games supply also we have a WiFi connection. Mackey landing is the first home on a private driveway off of Beddis Rd. It is only a 3km drive from town and a 15 minute walk from a public ocean access . It has bus routes available for town and the ferry terminals. The suite has two small covered wooden decks, one on each level and an outside private wooded sitting area which includes a barbecue and seasonally a lovely forest hammock. A laundry facility is available for visits over three days. Theresa and I live on the property and have called Saltspring Island our home for 35 years. We are happy to meet you for a visit, give you information about the island or respect your complete privacy while you visit. Photos are beautiful but they don't do the suite justice. Stunning property with a little ocean view from the balcony. Suite was perfectly clean, and was stocked with various thoughtful things that we weren't expecting. Farm fresh eggs and local bread were left for us, along with other breakfast items. Paintings and pottery from local artists decorated the unit, many beautiful pieces for sale. Bed was very comfortable, lots of fun books to curl up and flip through. Will definitely be back the next time we return to the island. Would recommend to absolutely anyone, with the exception of those who may not be able to do stairs, as the bedroom suite was in a loft. Ron and Theresa, thank you so much for sharing your stunning property with us. A workmate and myself shared this loft style home for a week. It has everything you need and both the main bed and sofa bed were comfortable. The owners were very accommodating and understanding.
