“The owner prefers you to do PayPal which was a little tricky for us. Was responsive when we were in country but less so out of the country. The apartment is located in a gated trailer park but is actually very adorable! Lockbox on the gate with the key. There are local roosters that will wake you up in the early morning so wear earplugs :-) apartment was beautiful and very clean. Fun little swings and things for kids plus a big patio. Saw a coqui frog on our car so cool. 5 minute walk to the……

“First off, I would like to say that Ivannie and Jose, we’re very accommodating hosts. Jose was easy to talk to and responded promptly and was always professional. The area was nice. There are a couple of bars, wonderful small restaurants, and a delicious coffee shop that all are in walking distance. We tried about 4 restaurants in the area, and all were great! The beach (literally a 5 minute walk) was the best part. Keep in mind that there are apartment complexes that block the ocean view, so……

“I arrived super late at night but it was super easy to get into the facility. I had a private twin bed and it was perfect for a four day stay. It was okay it could have been cleaner but it did the job! the showers were nice. Even the people staying there were really cool - invited me to play cards/drink. The area is really nice - very walkable to the beach and lot of restaurant options which I loved. I def will be back if I need another quick trip to PR.”

“We enjoyed our time at Mare and had a very good experience. The one issue is that what you see in the pictures is not necessarily what you will get and the rooms vary greatly. Some had a refrigerator, others didn't; some had shelves and spacious bathrooms; our room had only a clothes rack with 5 hangers and you could only fit one person in the bathroom at a time. Only one room had a luggage rack so most of us lived out of our suitcase on the floor. The pool picture is not of the pool at Mare,……

“Nice older well maintained apartments. All gated so very secure. Plenty of towels and even beach towels. Walking distance to the beach and some very nice restaurants. Ask for off street parking!”
