“A fantastic little getaway. Tara Cottage was a perfect space for a quick little overnight stay in Daylesford. The place was immaculate, all the amenities were provided from oversized towels to a coffee machine, lots of choices on the TV and a comfy, warm space. Check in was easy, Prue is a wonderful host and we felt very safe and comfortable at the cottage. We didn't bring our dog on this trip, but the food and water bowls (plus treats!) were a welcomed amenity had our pup joined us. Really……

“Marnie & Dale were lovely and the accommodation was very comfortable with plenty of wood for the cosy fire. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and everything worked.Repairs to the arm chair, electric heater and mats would be beneficial for safety reasons. The coffee and cake van was a bonus thanks to Gill, Roy and Fleur and Marnie’s yummy homemade cakes. Overall we had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.A little bit further out from town than stated on the website (extra 6klms) and google……

“The house is lovely and very clean, and there were lots of thoughtful and generous touches throughout, like the scones Marie made for us and the fact that Neal put the fire on for us before we arrived. “The positives: good location for access to Daylesford while still retaining a rural feel, cute tiny home, comfy loft bed, nice property although we didn’t get to see it in its full splendour as it was winter, friendly host, and easy check in. The compost toilet was not too bad, and didn’t smell. What could have been better: some things were not replenished prior to our stay such as dishwashing liquid and matches to build a fire, so our plans for s’mores was a bust.
