“The property was a mess. The parking lot was torn up and the carpeted stairs leading to the room were filthy. The shower had mold in it and there were holes in the bathroom cabinets where there should have been drawers or cabinets. The lock to keep people out from the inside was missing and a metal plate in its place. I did not feel safe at this hotel and staff was kind enough give me a refund since there was not another room available at that time.”

14. Snuggle by the River Meadow Cabin- kayaks, dogs ok

“The property was very similar to the photos, with a short walk to the river access. We had been concerned that the cabin would be smaller than expected for four adults, but it was very spacious and generally comfortable. The kitchen is well supplied with pots, pans, dishes, glasses, and cooking essentials, but there was no coffee. The only issue was that the bunk beds were uncomfortable and very, very squeaky. Any slight movement caused a squeak, and it was so hard to sleep that one person……

16. Bed & Breakfast Suite At The Wooded Retreat!

Pine City

“It is such a quaint, warm and lovely space. I felt like I'd escaped all the noise, hustle and bustle, and bright lights of the city and stepped into a fairytale, country retreat. I loved all of the attention to detail in the vintage decor, the amazing balcony view with all of the fall leaves mid color change... and the owner was a complete joy to work with. Excellent communication and so accommodating with my requests. I would recommend this experience to anyone wanting a mini escape or a……
