"Staff were very welcoming and very polite. Our room was very good and very clean. Only complaint was with the air conditioning which we did not have on, but it still made a noise in the early hours which woke me up. Only other minor issue was the inability on Thursday evening to get a meal in the Martello Bar which was crowded with men attending a function."

There is no evening restaurant but this is not a problem as there are a large number of restaurants a short walk away. The hotel is well situated for all the towns attractions but benefits for being just off the High Street (which can be very busy). Would definitely recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to use again."

"Although you get a standard chain hotel room with no frills or extras, what sets this hotel apart are the staff. They were about as helpful as it's possible to be without going over the top. The parking is good (I have a Tesla but didn't need to use the supercharger but useful to know it's there as Eurotunnel ones can be full) although £6 for 24hrs is a bit steep for hotel guests - the full £12 would have been outrageous. The free breakfast was adequate but they need to urgently revise their scrambled egg which is almost inedible. So. 4* for the hotel but 5* for the team"
