We specialize in herbal medicine and operate a community apothecary on the land. We are a family-friendly community of mostly long-term residents, alongside a few short-term rental accommodations. All our offerings include the use of community spaces, including a covered yoga shala, fire circle, temazcal (sauna), and spring-fed pool area that the guests are welcome to use. Casa Curativa is just over the river from Tzununá town center. When you check in you will be given a key to your accommodation, as well as keys to the entrances of the property. Tuk tuks are available for pick up and drop off between the hours of 6am - 9:30pm. We have safe parking spots available on-sight, please let us know ahead of time if you will need to use one for your vehicle. Trucks or 4x4 vehicles are recommended to get to our main entrance. We live on-site year-round, and also operate a business from within the property, so one of us is usually present and available any time of day. We can exchange numbers upon your arrival, and we are always available to answer questions over the phone. Our neighborhood is residential and wooded, which means that it is quiet and peaceful. We live on a dirt road, and our property is fenced in on all sides. Our neighborhood is in the lower valley of Tzununa, just across the river from town center. Take a scenic 10 minute walk down to the lake shore, or a 10 minute walk up to Granja Tzikin or Gaia Temple in the upper valley of Tzununa. We have three entrances; the main one is accessible by vehicle, and the two lower entrances are located along the river, and a 5-minute walk will get you to town center. We have parking spaces available just inside the main entrance so you may safely park your vehicle. Please let us know ahead of time so we make sure there is a parking space available for you. The entire property is fenced and secured. Tzununa is a fast-growing town with a diversity of offerings, from nature hikes to restaurants, night life, and ecstatic dance temples. Tzununa means "land of hummingbirds" in the local Mayan language.
