“After a tour understanding the history of the caves in Matera, it is a humbling experience to stay with all the modern amenities of electricity, running water and yes, internet! “Hello, we are a family of 4 from South America. We stayed at the Piccolina Vacation Home and it was excellent. Very nice place with nice kitchen and bathroom. Nearby there is a little Piazza to get a coffee, pizza and to do laundry. Also, very friendly neighbors and a supermarket nearby. There is a bus stop just a couple minutes away that takes you straight to downtown to see the Sassi. Great place!”

“The villa was beautiful and exactly as the images. The aircon was brilliant and we have plenty of space as a family of 4. We spent most of our time around the pool or cooking on the BBQ. Matera was lovely to visit and only around 15 minutes by car. Most of the restaurants didn't open until around 7:30 or 8pm which was a shock for us when we got there at 5:30 with young children looking for somewhere to eat.
