“Chosen as a reasonably priced hotel for a one night stop between france and Italy.
Family run and open since the 1920s.
An older style property but style very much in keeping with the local area. Clean and tidy throughout and bar/restaurant appears popular with locals.
Staff were friendly and accomodating.
The hotel restaurant is closed on a Wednesday evening however there are a number of local restaurants nearby and staff were happy to provide directions and recommendations.

“I paid Chf112.- they told me I will get a bunk bed room with sharing bathroom and toilet. I booked a double room with private bathroom. Finally I need to pay CHF210.- to change to a very small room with private bathroom but without any facilities!!!!!!! No air conditioning, no kitchen, no fridge.......”

“Boutique Hotel Schluessel was perfect for a remote getaway. The staff are incredibly friendly and cannot do enough for you. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean and there are lots of amenities including a self service mini bar, hairdryers and drinking water faucets in the rooms. Our room was warm in the heat of the summer but we were provided with fans which kept the room cool. Would recommend eating at the hotel restaurant - a beautiful setting for dinner and fresh ingredients used. The……
“Bellevue Hotel is great! It’s almost the oldest hotel in Engelberg, but the hotel is very unique, stylish and clean. Very European style. Staffs are friendly and helpful. The most amazing part is the view from the balcony, love it!”
