"This is a wonderful cabin for a quiet retreat. From breakfasts on the deck overlooking the lake to afternoons on the dock watching the world go by, you can’t ask for a better property. The hosts are very responsive and made sure we had everything to make our stay memorable. One evening as thunderstorms rolled through, the host stopped by to ensure we were safe. Also, Jefferson, with several nice restaurants and shops, is worth the short drive."

But when we showed up our cabin was locked and we could not get in. I called the host and she instructed us to go to the cabin across the street. We did, it was unlocked. "We had a great stay. The cabin was super clean, good location, great views of the lake, and perfect size for a family of four. Super comfy, reclining, leather couches. "We loved our stay here! It was right off the Cypress Bayou on a branch of the river so we could easily kayak to the main bayou and access a nearby rope swing, but we were away from all the boating noise. We stayed there with our 4 little ones and had plenty of room! We loved the covered back patio that has doors we could lock on all sides so the kids could not access the water. Host was great and gave us tips on where to eat! Highly recommend, it is such a beautiful and unique area to stay in!...

"I can't communicate well enough how nice this property is. Check in was simple. Everything we needed was present. The house and property are lovely. It's close enough walk to downtown Jefferson, which we did. We walked back at 1:30 am and you can't do that most places. Hardwood floors, tall ceilings, big back porch...it's fabulous."
