Good location and fair price

Overall the place was what we were expecting and the location was great, and the space was enough. Though the water was basically 50% sulfer so nobody could shower or drink the water. And there was only 2 trashbags and 1 roll of toilet paper and paper towels for 8 people over a whole weelnd

Never again

The day before we went they told me the air was out and it was very hot. The cabin wasn’t clean the frig didn’t get cold. The grass was high and never offered a discount or a different cabin. Will never stay her again. Beware.!!!!!

Breathtaking view

The cabin is an older cabin but clean with plenty of towels and linens. Kitchen is large and open to the dining and living area. The best part was the view from the large deck that looks out to a mountain. Beds were comfortable and plenty of room for a large group. Area is very private and check in was easy and contactless. Highly recommend.

Family Mountain Trip

Cabin was beautiful, roomy. Good location for all our stay to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Parrot Mountain was amazing, going Dollywood Halloween to see decorations was a first for us, did not disappoint. Howard's Steakhouse was great. Can't wait for our next visit.

family vacation

We were happy with the cabin overall. The beds were comfortable. Our family enjoyed the pool table. We used the washer and dryer, which worked well. The hot tube was nice but we did wish the porch was covered because it rained almost everyday we were there. The kitchen was spacious and had all the things we needed to cook meals. The only negative was the water did have a sulfur smell to it. We will definitely rent this cabin again. It was easy to get to and close to Pigeon Forge.

Enjoyed our stay.

Nice place. Disappointed to learn that the hot tub is apparently seasonal. We could have used more blankets (better once the heater was fixed, but still.) I was surprised that we needed to bring our own salt and pepper, coffee filters, etc. We do thank you for your prompt attention to the heater.

Biltmore Hideaway

My family and I along with some friends stayed at the cabin but it was not as clean as it should be. It was hair in the sink and on the main floor. The bedding was not clean and neither was the hot tub. The outside lights did not work on the deck and the overall cleanliness of the cabin was subpar.

Not good experience.

The upstairs was hot most of the time. Needs another air conditioner for the upstairs. Beds had nats in the ones upstairs. You couldn’t play on the corn hole boards they were very weathered. Would not recommend this cabin to my family and friends.

Family Vacation.

Over all we had a blast this past week. But they was some issues that caught out attention. The grass was never cut. The beds arent queen they are full. The lights needed changed and we found several bugs within the cabin.

Pigeon Forge vacation

Was a great place and great location , close to everything. Property was nice the cabin kitchen needed more light especially at the stove. Cleanliness was a bit shabby we moved the couches to get a pacifier and the dirt was unbelievable , the oven was dirty and there were carpet shavings on bedroom floor upstairs. The heating system worked okay but didn't warm up much at night. Overall we enjoyed our stay the cabin just needed a little bit more tender loving care.

Complete and Thorough Review

I want to be fair and completely honest in this review so that future vacationers know exactly what to expect at the Builtmore Hideaway. Among the benefits is the size. It is very spacious and has a nice-sized kitchen. The bedrooms have plenty of room as well, and we were thankful for 2 bathrooms with enough space. It was also clean. Some reviews said otherwise, but it was clean when we arrived. Also, it was nice to have several TVs with apps on them. Now- the drawbacks....First of all, the strong sulfur smell in the water is the main reason we will not stay there again. You are completely immersed in this smell when you shower and wash your hands. Your laundry and dishes are washed in it. The ice maker in the fridge doesn’t work, so the ice trays in the freezer are filled with the sulfur water unless you bring bottled water. Also, the place does need to be updated. You have everything you need as far as furniture, but it’s not a rustic look...it’s just out-dated. The master bed is only a full size and looks as if it has been broken in the past because it leans slightly away from the wall. Our kids did enjoy the pool table, but it does have slits in the fabric. It’s great that it is a pet-friendly cabin, and we enjoyed taking our well-trained dog with us. The larger sofa announced that not all pets that have stayed at the Builtmore are as well-trained...occasionally, we got a slight whiff of urine. There were several light bulbs out, inside and outside (including the one over the stove), and the grass had not been mowed before we arrived. The grass was almost a foot high in areas. One of our sons came inside from walking the dog in the yard with a tick crawling on him. It was late before we decided where and when to take our family vacation, so we were thrilled to find one this size for less than $400 a night, but now we know why. Also, it does state that the catch and release fishing pond and the pool membership is 8 miles away. Just note that. We didn’t have a chance to drive out that way because it was a little inconvenient.
