“a hidden gem”

“The room was clean but it didn't "look" clean because of how much the room was in cosmetic disrepair. I appreciated the size of the room (bedroom separate from living space), large fridge, strong water pressure in the shower. I did not like the fact that there are no blackout curtains in the bedroom (you can see thumbtacks where other guests had already hung up their own, just as we did). Also, there was no housekeeping service during our 3 night stay, so the coffee supplies we used on day……

“This was better than expected. We really enjoyed our stay here. We slept well and the tankless water heater kept up with all 3 showers. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaraunt immediately next door was a great addition for breakfast and milkshake desserts. Would stay here again!”

“The room was not ready even at 3 and when I walked in was gross front desk said gove it 30 min and still wasn't ready. Just gave them the key card and left will not come again”

“The staff was kind, helpful, and very knowledgeable about the history of the property. My room was clean, there were plenty of towels, and a wonderful bed, with a variety of pillows. The greenbelt and a path to the river made walking my dog very enjoyable.”

“Upon entering the lobby it had a strong musty odor. The same overwhelming smell was in the room. Sheets were stained and room was not cleaned. My son found a half empty coke bottle and my daughter found another guest’s underwear. Sink had grime in it. Obviously the room was not cleaned properly. When I told the front desk they did not seem to care and stated they couldn’t refund me since I waited until night to report this. What actually happened was I checked in and dropped off my stuff and……

“We were lock out of our room for over 4 hours and tried to get ahold of someone to re program our room door code and couldn’t get ahold of anyone so we went to the next door neighbor and it just happened to be the property manager. This is why I’m not giving an excellent review since we were unable to get into our room for over 4 hours and had to sit in our car since the weather was cloudy, rainy and cold. Other than that we were happy with the room overall.”

“I wouldn’t say this is the cleanest best western we stayed at during our 9 days. Some mold in the bathroom, difficult to figure out how to get shower warm. Carpet does not feel clean. So many recliners sitting in corners, multiple paint colors, stuff on the walls and counters makes it feel cluttered.”
