But they had private family visits at the same time as having us and you are quasi in the same space. So there were no real privacy. We were kind of in the middle of another family. "Upon arrival, you are greeted with a fantastic view over the coast when you enter the property. If that is the most important thing for you, you have found the right place - truly an amazing outlook. The communications with the management company were good, and directions and access arrangements provided were easy to follow. The villa was easy to find and in a nice quiet residential location. Unfortunately, it was a shame that the kitchen wasn’t quite as clean as we’d expected and was small for the size of the property, and also very hot. The remainder of the property was clean and spacious. However, the bed in the main bedroom was hard, creaky, and not particularly comfortable. The information on the website says that there is air-conditioning in the villa, but this was only in the bedrooms. That worked very well but the remainder of the villa was very hot. The terrace area, although clearly swept clean, was probably in need of a pressure wash as the bottom of our feet became filthy each time we stepped out of the pool and onto the pool surround area. This possibly explains a ‘tide mark’ around pool and some discolouration of the pool floor and walls, as this dirt was probably finding its way into the pool. All in all, although it says in the advertisement that it is recently renovated, I’m not sure how recent it actually was. It felt a little tired and in need of some investment."

"What a little gem . For a 2* hostal this place was excellent. Spotlessly clean . Beautiful decor throughout with many Andalucian tiled floors . Jose was very friendly and helpful. Underground parking for 11.50€ a day close by or free on street parking ( if you can find a spot) 20 min walk to the beach or the local bus costs 60 cents each Bathroom a little small but adequate air conditioning in bedroom and beds comfortable Would definitely stay here again. Deserves a 5 * review in my opinion for a hostal x"

"I stayed at Hotel Elba in Motril for a weekend and had a very pleasant experience. The room was spotless and had a lovely balcony with views of the beach. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious and well equipped. Breakfast was included in the price and offered a good variety of foods and drinks, with plenty of options to suit different tastes. The hotel also has both indoor and outdoor pools, though I didn’t get the chance to use them, so I can’t comment on those facilities. Parking cost €7 per day, which I found reasonable for the area. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay. However, the sound insulation is a bit of an issue as you can hear people speaking in the next room but I would definitely choose Hotel Elba again for a future visit to Motril."
