My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon on St. Thomas and it was absolutely perfect! We made so many new, great memories. Kathie was very helpful answering all of our questions quickly. She is well knowledgeable about the island and has lists of places to eat, boat charters, and other beaches to explore which were very helpful for planning out our trip.
The room was very clean upon arrival and had everything you needed there (pots/pans, snorkeling gear, towels, etc.). Walking out on the beach every morning was one of the best parts of our trip! There are trees on the resort side of the beach with plenty of shade if you get out there in the morning. The coral reef is literally 5 feet off the beach and I highly recommend checking it out while staying here. Lots of beautiful fish and the beach is very relaxing as well. We only had one day where some groups from the cruise ships came over, but it still wasn't very crowded. The beach bar is just a few steps off the back patio and serve bar food that we often ate for lunch. Noise was only an issue one time where the bar was hosting a party on Wednesday night, but even then, the music was faint and not an issue with our stay.
As far as food goes, the island has just about everything you could imagine. There are a few fast food places, but mainly local restaurants and plenty of them. If you don't mind a pricey experience, PESCE Italian Restaurant and Prime at Paradise Point were two of our favorite places to eat. Both were about $100 for two, but the food was outstanding and freshly made. Plus there is a great view of the sunset at Paradise Point that you can see, even if you don't eat at Prime. Also, Senor Pizza was very good, budget friendly, and they deliver to the room. For groceries, just know that everything is imported in, so you will be spending a lot more than you would in the US.
We rented a car from the airport so we could drive around the island. There's parking everywhere and we only had to pay when we went to Red Hook. The resort has plenty of parking and had no problems getting in with security. There are also group taxis and private taxis at the resort all the time so taking a taxi is also very doable.
If you're planning to go to St. Thomas, don't miss out on visiting St. John as well! The ferry ride is 20 minutes and totally worth it. We took a group taxi when we got there to Trunk Bay. Not much shade, but the beach and snorkeling was well worth it.
