“This is one of those great early 20th century hotels that has grown even better with age. All rooms are on one side of the hallways so each has an ocean view. And the accommodations, while wonderfully updated, still ooze that classy old charm! “We chose this house so we could visit Skellig Island. Sadly, the trip was cancelled due to stormy weather but we didn't mind too much as the house was such a pleasure to hunker down in! We used our downtime to catch up on showers, laundry, rest, and relaxation before resuming our tour around Ireland. “Our week’s stay at the cottage was very pleasant and peaceful. We enjoyed watching the sheep and the scenery from the cottage was beautiful. We had difficulty finding the cottage as there are no road names and after an overnight flight from Toronto and then a four hour drive from Dublin the directions didn’t work on our phone. With some relief we finally spotted it and arrived.”

“After a long drive from Shannon Airport, we opened the door to Seashell Cottage and immediately felt like we were home. The scenic surroundings offered us peaceful mornings to lounge over coffee and enjoy the stunning view, and the perfect base to venture out to explore the Skellig Coast — which we have fallen in love with.
