Calm and tranquility. Early morning in Nida
The Curonian Spit (also called Neringa) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. One of the most beautiful places in it is the Nagliai nature reserve (between Pervalka and Juodkrante), known for the “Dead Dunes”.

The Curonian Spit (Kurische Nehrung in German) is a 100km long sand bar beetween the Baltic Sea and the inland salt water called "Haff". It shares the interesting history of the region, which is in Lithuania now, but was influenced by Teutonic Knights/Baltic Germans/East Prussians for centuries. The southern half of the Spit is part of Russia´s Kaliningrad (formerly Königsberg) Region. The "Great Dune" near Nida is protected be #UNESCO World Heritage
