"We stayed at the hotel while attending my son’s ice hockey national final. Overall, the experience was just okay. One of the main issues was breakfast. I had a very early start on Sunday, but breakfast did not begin until 8am, which meant we were unable to use the breakfast we had paid for. I asked the staff whether any food could be provided earlier, but was told this was not possible due to allergy concerns. I also asked whether the money we had paid for breakfast could instead be used towards dinner in the hotel restaurant, but this was not offered as an option either. As a result, I am now having to request a refund from Hotels.com for the breakfast we paid for but could not access. We also used the pool during our stay. Unfortunately, it felt like it could benefit from an upgrade and a more thorough clean. While the staff were polite enough, I did not feel they went the extra mile on this occasion. Given the circumstances, especially knowing we had an early start for a national sporting final, a little flexibility or effort would have made a big difference."

"This hotel is very nice and beautifully run . A fantastic team very welcoming and very professional . This was apparent up on arrival and continued thorough out of our stay by all the staff . This is mainly down to a fantastic management .You and your team are a credit to the hotel and the Marriott group. We had a fantastic time staying at courtyard and looking forward to our return in the near future . My wife and I and our daughter and her husband believe that this hotel is by far one of the best hotels in the area . A spacial thanks to Mr Lewis Watson and Robin"

"Easy to find, had an issue at check in where the whole computer system was down so couldn't get a key card. I explained I had an event I needed to get to, and because they worked out my original room was next to the function room where an event was going on until 2am, they upgraded me to a bigger room and had a staff member use their master key card to get me in. I collected my key card later. Sadly the event goers were.....not considerate! Taxi blaring out music at half midnight and revellers shouting about until someone must have told them to be courteous. Despite being next to the motorway, i slept really well after that. Clean and comfy sheets and pillows, large, open and light room in the daylight, had everything I needed. Breakfast had a good range, no cooked breakfast, but plenty to choose from with cereals, bread, pastries, fruit, yoghurts and hot drinks machine. Not much sugar for cuppas so ran out after just 4 people dining - I went to take my cup to my room to get some sugar and got politely told no - fair enough, asked for sugar, went back to the dining area to finish. Easy to check out, easy to park and have parking validated and great value for money, was convenient location for work and events i was attending. Would stay here again"

"Very close to Sheffield railway station and easy to find. Check in (& out) was easy and quick. Room was ready well before time stated. The air conditioning was very welcome on a very hot day. Room clean and quiet. I liked that it had a bath but as the shower was over the bath this might be a problem for the less able as climbing into a bath can be difficult."

"The location of this hotel is excellent for everything in the centre of Sheffield, we were attending a wedding at the town hall which is just a few steps away from the from of the hotel The staff were very helpful and friendly The room was spacious and very comfy Very clean. There was water provided and an iron and board, Air con was great as it was a hot weekend Overall a great experience"

"Reception staff were super friendly and helpful, made to feel very welcome. A nice building in a top location. Room spotless, bed super comfy, good bathroom and shower. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Lots of choice, very nice eggs and sausages good quality. Yes some noise from bars near bar but minimal for us in 104 slept right through not a problem. Would definitely use this hotel again."
