"Such a lovely little holiday home, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Teg is literally in the middle of nowhere, blink and you’ll miss the turning so make sure you read your email directions. We didn’t! We followed the sites postcode directions which aren’t specific enough. The accommodation is so quaint, lots of lovely blues and Cornish ware China, everything you need to make a cup of tea and coffee and toast and the hosts very kindly left us a cream tea to enjoy when we arrived. "Arrived early as no traffic on drive. Asked about early check-in and said rooms not ready, come back later and maybe. Asked if room would have a view (booked 6+ months earlier). No but for 65 pounds more yes. Also we could let them know at check-in as lots available. Went and asked at 2:00 room ready-not yet. Went and asked at 2:30. Your room doesn’t allow you till 3:00. Not a good 1st impression "

The St Ives Bay Hotel

"Small double room with a perfect sea view. Our room was very clean and comfortable but could a done with a new window and a paint job. They is a bar and lounge area with a nice view, but we didn’t visit it. Parking behind the hotel but limited and you need to book it in advance. There is a lift up to the 2nd floor which is a blessing if you have lots of luggage. The staff are polite and welcoming. Ideal location to visit the town and beach a stones throw away! We didn’t have breakfast but it was £12 and you need to book before the night. Complimentary tea and coffee and milk and sugar and built in soap and body wash dispensers. Great value st £100 a night for a double with sea view. Could have done with more space by the wi how to admire the view in our room."

"Room 16: There was lots of fluff on the floor of our room, it needed a wet clean as well as vacuuming the basin in the bathroom was very impractical, the shelf above needs to be removed to allow access. the bed needs changing the right hand side has collapsed and leaning outwards. (We did not sleep well) 10/10 for the staffs they have been great with us."

"We were given a different room to the one we booked. The room was smelling strongly of air freshener to cover the smell from the drains. There was no hot water in the bathroom. The evening meal was awful and took over 2hrs for 2 courses, the waitress ended up in tears after all the complaints. The receptionist tried her best to sort things out but was fighting a loosing battle. All in all not a good stay, luckily we only stayed one night - never again!!!"
