Accommodation information Cornerways is arranged all on one level, a large entrance hallway gives access to all rooms. The living room is comfortably furnished with a 2/3 seat sofa and an arm chair, plus another small childs armchair. There is a large flat screen, smart TV with the usual streaming apps.
The brand new kitchen (2025) is fully equipped for a self catering family holiday on Cornwall. There is an oven and hob, a large fridge freezer, a microwave and ample cooking and tableware. There is a dining table and chairs for 4. Please note, there is no washing machine.
There are 2 beautifully furnished bedrooms. One with a double bed and the other with 2 single beds (these can be zipped together to make a king sized bed, please request this at the time of booking). The family bathroom is also brand new and has a bath tub with shower over. There is also an additional, separate toilet.
Outside Cornerways has lot of outside space. There is a good sized garden at the front with seating where you can make the most of the morning sun. To the rear there is a large garden and patio area with more seating which enjoys afternoon and evening sun. There is parking for up to 2 car to the side of the property.
Location Goonhavern is 3 miles from Perranporth, a larger village with lots of amenities and a 3 mile long, golden sandy beach! Goonhavern itself has a fantastic pub called The New Inn, serving great food and is just a minute walk away. There is also an exceptionally well stocked local convenience store and post office, a kids play park and a pump track, all just a couple of minutes walk away.
The Saints Trail, open recently, is a walking and cycle trail that takes you to Perranporth. It takes about 45 minutes walking and around 20 minutes on a bike. A great facilty and safe for kids as there is no traffic.
Just a few meters from Cornerways is a bus stop where you can get regular buses to Perranporth, Newquay and Truro, Cornwall’s only city. They start from around 07:00 and run until about 22:00.
Goonhavern is centrally located in Cornwall to explore the rest of the county. Truro, our cathedral city is about 8 miles away and well worth a day trip. Padstow to the north, home to Rick Steins’ Seafood Restaurant and St Ives to the west where you can visit the Tate gallery are both only 30 minutes by car as is Falmouth on the south coast where you could see anything from small yachts to cruise ships and everything in between!
