Vom Hotelrestaurant blickt man direkt in eine schöne kleine Gasse mit bunten Geschäften und aufs Meer. Nur 100 Meter und man steht schon am Strand. “PLEASE BE AWARE. This place overbooks clients so when you arrive they say there is NO reservation under your name. Then they send you to another location of much lower quality. People at the new location confirmed that they do this all the time. It is not a mistake but rather a scam. I left that second location and was lucky to find a nice hotel nearby for the same price. I did get a refund but most people will probably stay where they are forced to stay due to lack of options and uncertainty. I……

“Adelina was a great host - It was my husbands birthday (&& i wasn't able to be present), she was very helpful with surprising him and making his birthday successful . She was also helpful with transportation and accommodating our needs . The place was clean and looked just like the picture presented . ”

“One of my worst hotel experiences. The air conditioning in the room did not work and there is no overnight staff to contact. It was 34 degrees. There is no bottled water in the rooms (you cannot drink the tap water). When an extra towel was requested (for the second person in the room - the room had 2 beds) the staff said none were available as they needed to do laundry. “Because we were only stopping for 2 nights we weren't too particular as to the room so chose the cheapest option but in retrospect we should have picked one next to the pool. We were in an annexe a 20meters away and it was a small room, though it did provide an effective ac unit, tea and coffee facilities, hit shower, clean towels both days, mosquito net, and it was clean and well presented. The main rooms surround the pool and are better proportioned. The owner and the staff are very pleasant……

“I just stayed 2 nights at Casa Umoja. It isn’t a place with all the frills but that is exactly what I was looking for. There is a lot of greenery on the compound and it has all the basics that one needs. Definitely reasonably priced especially when you consider that it includes breakfast. A fruits plate with an assortment of 6-8 local fruits and then some continental breakfast food like eggs and toast. The owners are on site and helpful with answering questions.
