“The front desk gal was awesome! She recommended The Village Inn for dinner, it was great. Loved being able to sit at the table outside to visit and socialize! Great place to stay!”

“Both the town and the hotel have seen better days. It was clear that funds for maintenance are tight. That showed up in worn-through rugs and wallpaper that needed replacing. But, and this is a big but, overall the hotel was safe, reasonably quiet, very friendly, as clean as possible with old rugs and had a decent breakfast. For the region, which is in an economic slump, it would be a five star. Compared to other hotels in general, I can only give three.”

“For a super 8 this is more like a resort, rooms are typical hotel but beds are nice and rooms very clean. Pool and barrel sauna are very nice and the hot tub is big and very hot, not luke warm like some places. Also breakfast compares to higher end brand name hotels.”

“The experience was very good. The hotel is clean, nicely decorated, good size room and nice amenities. There was a nice round table in our room but only one chair that worked with the table, two chairs with the table would work better for two quests.”

“We had a great experience at the Stay Inn Ely. It was clean and our room was nice. It’s conveniently close to down town Ely and has easy access parking. The kitchen was well equipped and had coffee to make every morning. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it!”

“We stayed in the Chickadee cabin. It is a pretty new cabin and very nicely appointed kitchen. However, the description on Expedia is a bit off. It says it’s a “lake view” cabin. It is not. It’s a short walk to the lake. It also said it had a queen bed, but it has a queen bed in the bedroom plus a twin bunk bed in the hallway and two twin mattresses in the loft, so basically it can sleep six people. Two other cabins are basically the same layout. These are really nice cabins. Sparrow and Nuthatch……
