Less than a minute's walk to the beach and Whitianga town centre, Publican's is the perfect place to unwind in coastal paradise! With 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, our holiday home comfortably sleeps up to 10 people. Great for families and larger groups.

Self-serviced accommodation with fenced lawn, BBQ, hot outdoor shower (great for sandy kids and divers!), kayaks and super close to the Whitianga Wharf + Ferry. Free Wifi, gas hot water, heat pump, open fire, linen and towels provided. The outdoor patio and lawn is fantastic for those long summer nights, backyard cricket and alfresco dining! For the boaties - we have plenty of space to park boats, fish cleaning bench and a bait freezer can be provided.

Prime location right next to Four Square, Buffalo Beach Takeaways, Hula Cafe and a short walk to the Wharf, Ferry, shops, cafes, bars & The Lost Spring Thermal Pools. You have everything you need within a 5-10 minute walk! Enjoy the wonders of the Coromandel - Publican’s is perfect for your next Whitianga holiday! Linen and Cleaning services are included - kept clean and tidy by professional cleaners.

For Xmas - New Year Peak period, please call me or ask a question online, we are looking for responsible family groups.

Contractors and longer term stays , we are GST registered and can offer full service accommodation so all the staff need to do is get to work.

For larger groups, wedding parties and charter groups, we also have #5601 Sybil's Place next door - rent both! Give me a call.

Beautiful property; large bedrooms and living areas provided great environment to interact. Bonus was the large fire with supply of dry firewood. Comfortable beds; kitchen well stocked with crockery cutlery glasses etc. Great location close to town beach. Definitely recommend

Great place terrible checkout

Look great place, stove doesn't really work so you need to use the BBQ, which is fine but no cleaning utensils, then they charged for the cleaning, withwn 2 hours of leaving I was asked to pay an extra 400 plus, for a cracked window, extra guest, cleaning, after I cleaned the house, there were no dishes left, put the washing machine on, helped the property manager move the garbage, there was one broken window with black tape already there and another one with no tape where the lounge chair was placed, the property manager was present on check on and check out, she could have raised any issues then and there, I left the property before 9am and had I had of there being any issues I would have fixed them, I offered the cash that was asked to my two children as I the owner of the property did not add them to his costing which we had both recognized through our emails, his property manager told me to just leave it under the microwave, apparently it wasn't there and the microwave was filthy, we did no use it...we couldn't use the BBQ after one use either because there was nothing to clean it with so my brother bought his from home, honestly this is a horrible way to have a holiday end...take photos of everything so you don't end up having a sleepless night not know if there will be a big chunk coming out of your account without this issue being proved....

Best location in the whole of Coromandel

If you want to indulge in a central location, be a stone’s throw away from the beach, and have all the amenities you would in your cozy grandma’s/family home, this is the place to be. Everything you need for a beach getaway!

Way better location than what we thought!

This place was amazing and probably one of the best places we’ve stayed. The house had plenty of space for our 4 adults and 4 children and the location was phenomenal. We were right by the beach and there is a small restaurant with great food and a small grocery store right next door. The shops are only a block away and there are other great restaurants in that same area. Rob was a great host and worked with us easily with adding some additional guests last min whose reservations didn’t work out.

Family friendly home near a beautiful beach

This is a solid well built home that is very spacious for family gatherings. It is less than 100 metres to a beautiful beach and next door to a wonderful cafe. There is a walkway adjacent to the beach which also goes by the local marina, very picturesque!. Whitianga is a true beachtown with interesting shops and plenty of things to do on the water.

The house itself was comfortable, but it was quite warm at night. Unfortunately, we were disappointed to find that the owner was turning off the air conditioning at the power when we weren’t at the property, which felt intrusive and unnecessary. More concerningly, the owner entered the house without prior notice, seemingly assuming no one was home. However, one of our group had not gone on the fishing charter and was inside when the owner unlocked and entered the property. This was a significant breach of privacy and left us feeling uncomfortable. Overall, while the accommodation itself was fine, these issues made our stay less enjoyable.

Uk and NZ family holiday

We had a fantastic week! A perfect place for two families. A spacious and well equipped house in a great location for access to beach and to wander around the town with its bars, restaurants and shops. Owner Rob met us when we arrived and was on hand if we needed him, which we didn’t. Loved the outdoor shower - it was definitely the shower of choice!! Would highly recommend! Thank you Rob for everything and the excellent communication regarding questions etc before we arrived.

Rained all the time( cyclone hale) flooding , roads closed but right in town, cafes , bars , restaurants all in walking distance. We could not have been in a better place
