Absolutely fantastic stay at Vila Nepos! We stayed in the Venetian Room and couldn’t have been happier. The location is incredible—you are literally inside Diocletian’s Palace, right next to the bell tower and adjacent to the church square. From our window, we could watch Roman soldier reenactments marching through the streets while live musicians played in the square below. It was an amazing and unforgettable way to experience the history and atmosphere of Split. The room itself was huge, beautifully furnished, and full of historic character. We loved being able to see and hear the activity of the square when we wanted to, but when we closed the windows, the room became remarkably peaceful and quiet. The air conditioning was a lifesaver during the extreme heat of our visit. We could spend the day exploring Split, walk back to the apartment in just a couple of minutes, and cool down immediately. The Wi-Fi was also reliable and worked well throughout our stay. Our host was exceptionally friendly, accommodating, and helpful throughout our stay. We also purchased the breakfast option, which gave us the opportunity to try several different places. Instead of breakfast being served on-site, we received vouchers that could be used at several nearby locations. We chose three different places during our stay, and all three were excellent. Two offered fixed breakfast menus, while Central Cafe offered both a buffet and an à la carte menu, so you could choose from either—or both.

Perfect location!!! Uber close by if needed. But everything is walking distance. Our host was amazing. He welcomed us and even offered to assist with luggage upstairs. Our room was much bigger then I expected. It was 3 of us. 2 in the room and one in the living room. The pull out bed in the living room was private enough to say they had 2 rooms. We always had fresh towels and the beach is about 10 min away on the bus. Uber only cost about 6 euros to beach. 5 star! Green market had the best food and not pricey. Gilato and coffee right outside the door. Amazing! FYI- Make sure you can walk up 3 storiea of floors. We had no problem. Its about 70 steps. But totally worth it!!! (I think most of the places dont have elevators, so thia would be my best choice!)

Nice and relevant communication with the host along the way. Very well equipped apartment right on the beach with good parking. We felt very comfortable in the apartment.

The property is in several buildings. Old and not maintained, with heavy chemical fragrance. Check in/food were in a building opposite the one we stayed in, our room was "ocean front luxury." Our view was the roof of the patio bar with a line of shrubbery. We had a balcony which was a shared space with another room. We found no hot water after coming back late from dinner. They knew about it and did not inform at check in. Offered us to shower in a different building; we declined. Hot water was fixed next day around 4 pm, but we then had no power on second day in the room. Tried getting a refund or changing rooms, due to language this was not an option we could clarify. We were checking out the next morning to leave so just stuck it out. The room was clean, but it was structurally dirty; marks on walls, peeling finishes on furniture, outlets popped from wall, a very thin bunk mattress for couch bed (we reserved for 3 people),so the second night was slept on the couch not open; not enough blankets and linens provided for 3. We did get more upon request. The room a/c did work. It has a breakfast buffet which was average quality. There is a lot of damage and decline, trash laying around the property. The building door code box was broken so anyone could just walk in to the building. The pool is in the main building across the street from the sea, and had no loungers or chairs, furniture at beach is poor condition. There is a beach bar and restaurant.

This apartment is perfectly situated just outside the hub of the old town . From check in to check out the process was seamless . The room is enchanting and had everything a couple could need . We didn’t cook but the basic facilities were available. Wardrobe space was quite sufficient to unpack and feel at home. I highly recommend this place.

Location was great walking distance to Palace, Local Beach Club, Train and Cruise Dock. Room was nice with a nice size bathroom and shower. Furniture was a bit strange, the desk had an inclined gaming style chair, but the side chair was comfortable. The mattress, although comfortable, needed to be higher in the bed frame. The rooftop seating was lovely at night to bring your own drink for a nightcap. Staff were helpful, specifically Martina was extremely friendly and informative.

Lovely hotel especially enjoyed the rooftop terrace restaurant. Special mention for Duje on reception who was very helpful especially in advising us where and how to purchase our bus tickets on to Zadar and what were the departure times. Regards Richard Doughty
