“We only needed to stay for one night before our flight and arrived after midnight. We were dealt with quickly and paid parking was simple, secure and convenient. Room was nice and simple (ours could do with a paint refresh). There was no iron in the room which we were fine with. Hotel was extremely convenient to Heathrow with a car (rental) which we filled at the gas station on the way before returning. We were glad not to have to wait in the cue at the bus stop for the airport……

“Staff were all friendly and helpful, room was lovely, clean, compact and has everything you need. Love that it is like a mini apartment so you could cook rather than eat out. I only stayed one night so I went out for dinner. Plenty of places within a few minutes walk. I would definitely stay here again. ”

“The location of abbey lodge was great, only a few minutes walk into town. Handy for restaurants and shopping. It was a short drive to get to the rural areas which we enjoyed walking. We booked a twin room which was much bigger than the doubles we saw. It was bang for your buck! ”

“Room was very small and over crowded with two twins and a double. Fire alarm went off at 9am, no apologies or explanation on the reason. When we were finally allowed to return to our room the lifts did not work, when we made it to the room the key card didn’t work so had to go back down to reception. Again no apologies made. ”

“This hotel seems to be run by friendly family and people. During my stay, they were good to me and my dad, guilding us to the train station, ordered a cheap taxi for us, helped me to open the bathroom door when I didn't know how to open it. It was also quiet and considerated place to sleep at night, we enjoyed our stay.”

“It was exactly what I needed for a long layover. Convenient. Staff was friendly. I actually didn’t mind the airplane noise (they’ve added a sort of second layer window I think? It helped block the sound). Most of the local restaurants had stopped serving food by the time I had arrived, but there was an Indian place 5-10 minutes walk from the hotel. Only downside was the fridge in the room wasn’t cold. For the price, will definitely stay there again. ”
