“Booked a valley castle room w king bed for one night in late Sep. Room was very clean with comfy n up to date decor. Room was big enough and soundproof quality was good. Big garden surrounded hotel n we took a pleasant walk the next day. Should have stayed for one or two nights so as to enjoy swimming pool and other facilities. The historical building was well maintained. Very pleasant stay ”

“A beautiful hotel in a lovely setting with the sound of the river when you sat on the terrace. The staff were exceptional and always ready to help with any request. The room was very comfortable, lovely big bed and superb bathroom.”

“Wonderful pub and accommodation. The people are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. This 16th century public house still supports many original features making its atmosphere charming. The room was fairly small, a double bed and the small wardrobe made it tight to get to the bathroom but it was very clean and comfortable. Street Parking is available in front of the pub for free but only from 6pm till 9am so you need to move the car at 9am. The food was good but pricier than either of the 2……

“Simply amazing! Spacious, comfortable, beautiful finishing touches throughout, fully equipped kitchen, easy parking, masses of wardrobe space, and generous sized bathrooms. Centrally located for the shops, beaches, pubs, restaurants and the railway station. Even when we had a small issue with the hot water, this was resolved by a quick phone call and dealt with immediately. We never visit the same place twice but in this case, we would make an exception.”

“Recommend parking in Magdalen Street car park (by the Mecure Hotel) free parking from 6 pm to 8 am (alternative parking in St Mary Arches was expensive). I was surprised at the large number of apparent homeless people gathering in Cathedral Yard right outside of the apartment, quite loud and drinking from first thing in the morning until very late at night and begging for money as you enter end leave the apartment. The Cote Brasserie practically next door was too convenient and offered great……
