"We came to Lake Placid for a lacrosse tournament and stayed in Keene. It was an 15-20 min drive to the fields so it was perfect for the 3 nights that we needed. The house was so large - we didn’t use 1/2 of it. The hosts provided everything you needed and then some! They were very gracious! It was very cozy and welcoming. The kids loved playing in the river although make sure you have sneakers because it’s all rocks. There was no ac but it was cooler in the evenings so it was ok. There were fans in every room. Would recommend staying here if you want a peaceful, quiet stay away from the hustle and bustle of a city. "
Keene Cozy Cottage in the Heart of the Adirondack Mountains!

"We had a wonderful getaway at the Keene Cozy Cottage. It is in a fantastic location in the Lake Placid region. We spent all of our time hiking and biking in the Wilmington area, which was easy to get to. But Lake Placid or the High Peaks are also close, if that’s why you’re staying. The cabin was charming. It was very well stocked with so many little conveniences. There were several times we said, “oh, we wish we brought X,” and there it was in one of the drawers. The cabin was also very well stocked for cooking your own meals, which we did. There were also several nice places to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Route 9N runs through Keene, and thus in front of the cabin, which means traffic. But it did not bother us inside. We had a lovely time and would definitely stay here again. We were glad we could meet Dorothy, the owner, before we left. She was also delightful. "
"My girlfriend and I LOVED this place. It's not the Marriot or some chain, so it's a bit unique and has quirks, and that's why it's awesome. The room was small but comfortable, the bed very comfy. There was no TV in the room, which I really liked. Great shower. Outside there was a little deck with chairs so we could relax, listen to the Ausable River and look at the lovely grounds. There was also a restaurant area (closed while we were there) that we could sit in for meals or just to hang out. Cool decorations everywhere (and a TV, if you really needed one). And a small game room with foosball, pingpong and a pool table. Fire pit with chairs. Oh, and they provided a nice bagged breakfast with an egg, granola bar, orange, juice box -- basically a good hiking snack. And the staff were very friendly and helpful."

"This is a wonderful cabin to have as a home base for exploring the High Peaks region of the Adirondacks. The cabin is secluded and quiet, yet close to restaurants and shopping in Keene / Keene Valley. The screened in porch is fabulous and where we spent most of our time. The fenced in area for dogs (which can be accessed from either level of the cabin) was a huge plus for us. Although we didn’t really need to use it during our stay, this cabin does have AC, which can be very nice with warmer temps. James (host) was very helpful with info and quickly responded to any questions. "

"Our stay at Giant’s View cabin was a one of adventure and tranquility! The cabin itself was very warm and inviting. The views of the mountains were spectacular! Our favorite part outside of hiking and fishing was rocking in the comfy chairs in the screened in porch. The weather was hot while we were there but we stayed cool by utilizing the provided fans. We even got to see a family of deer crossing in front of the cabin. We would highly recommend this cabin to anyone who wants to get away from it all in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains!"

"We really enjoyed ourselves! The property is perfect for relaxing, loved the screened in porch overlooking the river!!! Even when it was chilly ( did mIt’s close to all the lake placid attractions y morning yoga out there… we enjoyed the fire pit outside, the sauna was awesome!!! All the furniture was comfy, and kitchen was well appointed ( we did a lot of cooking!"

"Stayed for a family ski and Super Bowl weekend tradition. We have done VT in the past but decided to switch things up this year. What a great call. This house was amazing. The hosts are very responsive and everything was exactly as advertised/expected. We would definitely highly recommend Grand Meadows Lodge and look forward to returning!"

"This place was perfect for our ski and snowboard trip to Whiteface. Close to the mountain for us to get in early. We used each room and all my friends were very comfortable. Even the two adult men that had to share the small cabin had no complaints. The sauna and hot tub were perfect for us to recover our exhausted bodies from full day of shredding the mountain. The foosball table was a hit. The large dinner table fit our whole crew. The heated floors were a delightful surprise and perfect for drying our wet gear on over night. We had a ton of snow overnight and we woke up to our driveway plowed! "
