“The house was very nice, in a pleasant suburban community in Airdrie, Alberta. The advertised extra bed in the office to accommodate ten people (in addition to the four upstairs bedrooms) was not present. The host emailed that there was an inflatable air mattress in the utility closet beside the vacuum cleaner and brooms! Who could have known? The beds and bathrooms were good and clean. One bed wobbled and squeaked so much we put the mattress on the floor the second night to get a decent……

“booked this property and received confirmation on check-in date and time of 3 PM MT. However, I wasn't even able to checkin. My checkin time was noted as 3 PM MT. I kept trying to find the Host contact info to check about check-in process/keys etc. However, I couldn't find the info and had to call Vrbo multiple time, remained on hold for long time and then finally I got the Host's contact info.  Contacted host about 2 PM PT to confirm I can checkin by 3 and Host told me that the property is NOT……

“I found street parking easily. I slept well on a comfortable bed in a peaceful environment. However, the place was superficially clean. Bedrooms: neither bed looked like they had clean sheets. The beds both have a comforter without a cover and without a sheet between it and your body. This means that I shared the comforter with every other guest directly. Kitchen: the microwave had food remnants in it. The coffee maker had an old shriveled up coffee/tea bag still in it. The electric hot……

“Our stay started with a serious access issue. We entered successfully at check-in using the provided code, but the lock later malfunctioned and we were unable to re-enter the property. Reaching the owner took considerable time, and when we finally connected, the suggested workarounds for getting back in were impractical and not a real solution. My father was alone on-site trying to troubleshoot a defective lock on his own — well beyond what a guest should have to manage. We were locked out for……

“I arrived late & the host was going to leave the key out. I was unable to find the key where it was supposed to be located. If I were to make any suggestions have a working light at the entry way. And a different lock system where just the key pad is required.”
