Mountain Cabin on Alyeska with Amazing Valley Views


Enjoy sweeping valley and mountain views from your fully updated mountainside cabin in the woods - all just a short walk to ski lifts and local hiking trails.

This beautiful cabin can comfortably accommodate up to 6 people. The main floor bedroom and the loft bedroom both have queen beds. There is a sleeper sofa in the living room and smaller day bed in the loft as well. The loft is accessed via a ladder-style staircase. The footing is secure and there are easy handrails - its great for kids, but not those with accessibility issues.

Also included: a washer and dryer, fully equipped kitchen, and WiFi. Parking for up to two cars.
No smoking, pets, or parties.
Use Forest Edge Hideaway as a base to explore Girdwood, walk in Moose Meadows, a day hike on Winner Creek Trail, a tram ride to 7 Glaciers restaurant, and the local food scene, including Jack Sprat, Chair 5 and the Double Musky. Further afield are day trips to Alaska Conservation Center, Prince William Sound, Spencer Glacier, Kanai Lake, Seward, Resurrection Bay, and Exit Glacier. Awesome view

We visited for slush cup and ended up staying at the A-Frame instead because it has probably the best view in Girdwood. We will definitely be back again!

Coffee with a view

Fantastic little cottage perched high on the mountain! Great views! Quiet and relaxing. Easy to get to Anchorage or Seward. Nicely appointed property for guests.

We had a tour in Whittier and Seward which made this place perfect to make those trips without spending all day on the road. David was quick to respond and gave the necessary information needed to make it an easy check in/out process.

Amazing A-Frame

This A-Frame was the perfect place for my husband and I to stay while in Girdwood. It had everything we needed and was super close to everything we wanted to do. The views from the patio were beautiful. David was an amazing host and super responsive. We can't wait to stay here again!

Beautiful view from porch. Nice bathroom. Good area to see Northern Lights when the weather conditions allow it. Sound of rushing water outside is very peaceful. Close to town. Highly recommend.

Girdwood or Bust

We had a wonderful time at David's cabin overlooking the valley. The views of the mountains were so beautiful. The cabin had everything we needed sleeping was very comfortable cooking space easy. and it was near all the scenic things to do. We went on an ATV guided tour to a glacier in Palmer, some in the family staying in town went horseback riding near Palmer. The Forest Fair in Girdwood had wonderful, talented vendors and great bands and food. It is a very cool town to use as a base to go to Seward, Anchorage Palmer and all they have to offer. David was a very responsive and kind host. We will definitely be back.

Girdwood first part

We stayed in Girdwood for 4 nights before heading to Sitka for 3 days. Davids's cabin had everything we needed. For a couple it is perfect. And for a family with kids the loft would be a bonus. Cooking, sleeping, relaxing it is a great place. And overlooking the valley wow what a view. The cabin is close to everything in town and a perfect spot to explore other parts of Alaska and be your "base camp " David was responsive ,kind and so helpful. So much so that We stayed again when returning from Sitka. TY for a GREAT time. Joan and Dave
