"Truly beautiful location and great layout in the mountains just outside a small mountain village. We used as a base camp to explore the area, with El Gastor just being a very cute village, surrounded by lots other towns within 30 to 45 minute drives. The actual house was lovely, clean, and so inviting with just a wonderful sunset view. Our only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer!"

"Pasamos un fin de semana donde nos coincidió con el belén viviente y recomiendo visitar el pueblo, estaba súper bonito y puedes ir andando desde la casa, quizás la subida es algo más cansada por la cuesta pero igualmente se hace, en la casa lo único que ecahmos de menos es algo más de calefacción, excepto la chimenea del salón, en el resto de habitaciones se pasa frio en invierno, hay una chimenea en el salón de arriba pero no se podía poner. El lugar nos encantó, sin duda para repetir"

"Had a wonderful time in Maribel's villa. Really comfortable for the whole family. The pool area is amazing. So nice to have a covered seating area to relax in as well as the sun loungers. And the pool is just fabulous. Maribel was so fast with her reply to any query. Beautiful part of Spain too with it's gorgeous hilltop towns and delicious food. Had a day trip to both Ronda and Cadiz. Would highly recommend to all."

"The whole experience was great, from the start to finish. The property has everything you need and more. The gardens are extensive and obviously the passion of the owner. Plenty of shady areas. Beautiful surroundings and only a 10 minute drive into Arcos. Nothing was too much trouble for Joaquin, and was always available to answer any questions about the surrounding area."

"La casa preciosa y limpia. José Miguel nos facilitó bastante información sobre la zona. A mejorar, la puerta de entrada, la del patio y la ventana de la escalera, pues entra mucho frío y no se mantiene el calor de la chimenea. También debería cambiar la grifería del lavabo. Por lo demás, pasamos un buen fin de semana a pesar del apagón general eléctrico que hubo en toda la zona el sábado por la noche,"

"We booked a 3 bedroom apartment but only 2 were available. We had to rearrange the sleeping spaces to make it work. WE found the kitchen was small and not easy to work in so we ended up eating our more than planned. Great location and present housekeeper. Clean and Tidy"

"We totally enjoyed our stay at the property. It was exactly what we hoped for - rustic and a little bit quirky but also it had everything that we needed for a relaxing and totally enjoyable stay. Joanna is a lovely host and a very interesting person. Of course, Osso and Ella (here two dogs) are adorable and the two cats paid us regular visits too. "Another fantastic stay here. This is a quiet Country Club style hotel with a renowned and top value restaurant in a rural situation just to the east of Spain’s famous sherry producing and horse fair city, Jerez de la Fronteira. Very comfortable, quiet and peaceful stay here with the most charming staff at all levels. Only wish that we could get here more frequently. Having travelled throughout the world for more than 60 years we still love returning here ! Only breakfast buffet I know that serves a Carve It Yourself Jambon. Brilliant !"
