Arrive at this newly updated cottage and discover a place that’s perfect for a single family who relish moments together as well as room to spread out. All of the home’s bedrooms are located on the second level: a king that shares a jack-and-jill bathroom with another king bedroom; as well as a queen room and a room featuring a pyramid bunk and a single trundle that share a full hallway bath. All of the bedrooms are equipped with iHome alarm clocks, a Smart TV and Blu-ray. Upstairs, the bright and roomy upper-level great room features a vaulted ceiling, new laminate flooring and walls of windows that flood the room with natural light and 180-degree views. Tune into an episode of your favorite show on the 49-inch Smart TV or choose a DVD from a generous collection. The kitchen, featuring a double oven, separate icemaker and eat-at counter, has everything needed to prep a meal and serve it at the eight-seat dining table, the perfect place to capture the day’s stories and adventures. My wife and I enjoyed taking our children there until these past couple of years when it became unaffordable, and quite frankly, elitist. We sought what I always enjoyed at the NJ shore which is a quiet and relaxing place, but one with options for some low key activities. We found that here in Avon, and specifically at the Salty Frog. The solitude of it all, the shops, the beach, and the restaurant options were all exactly what I want from a beach vacation. There was nothing to do here but completely chill out.Now, the Salty Frog and my check in experience certainly set the stage for my excellent experience. My family traveled 11 hours to arrive, and of course, going through my mind was "what if it's not what it appears to be?", "what if something goes wrong?". Well, this was alleviated during our drive when Mandy from Surf or Sound began her communication with me which was reassuring since she was going to ensure our happiness. Finally, our arrival at the Salty Frog was an experience that I have rarely had. The house was true to the pictures online, completely stocked (beyond our cooking, movie watching, and game playing capabilities), and the amenities were ample.
